I really enjoy these videos! The riding atmosphere blows my mind. I’m used to riding the back roads here in KY. Keep up the great content!

I love the back roads! To be honest, they're much more enjoyable than this traffic slogging. I will say that there are super satisfying moments where you cut through the traffic and then find this delicious gap to get ahead of everyone.

Are those brick street in the Meatpacking a little slick? I live outside the city in Jersey. My riding career just began so I mainly stay out here and up and down the Garden State. I commute to Wall Street but would love to start taking my 2017 Forty-Eight downtown. Just taking my time and practicing almost everyday. Would love to get my bike in the city though. Watching this awesome video gives me the inspiration. Thanks for sharing your ride!!

The brick can get a little slick when it's wet but other than that it's totally fine. If you're on the fence about riding into the city, I highly recommend that you do it! It's the best way to get around the city and you can almost always find a space to park.

Ever thought about installing an auto clutch? Something like Rekluse Radius. Would be great for your commuting style. And again, as i've asked in your other videos...i feel the engine heat in this one :D

I'll have to look into that. Sounds like a cool idea and my hands definitely get tired after awhile. I have to ride with a homemade leather heat shield strapped to my leg or else all my pants burn up.

Can you tell me what mic and setup you use for your videos
@RightThingMotos Жыл бұрын
I use a rhodes lav mic which I tape inside my helmet directly in front of my mouth and I connect it to my gopro which is mounted onto my helmet.

@@voiceofnewyork8575 1. I replaced the gopro hand crank screws with blacked out metal screws for a cleaner look on mount. 2. Quadlock has one of the best phone mounts. 3. I gorilla glued my gopro mount to the front of my helmet because gopro stick started to fail. 4. Take a ride out of the city to go and poke the bear every now and then. 5. Go moto camping at least once a year!

Since all that splitting you’re doing towards the end of the video is completely fucking illegal, why not just send that sporty down the bike lane on the left? Hugging those cars and dumpsters and jersey barriers was stressing me out for you. Lol Sweet bike man. Nothing sounds quite like an Evo motor. That lopey, almost broken idle is the greatest. Love it. Ride safe, sir.
@RightThingMotos5 жыл бұрын
That's a really good point and to be honest I've thought about it. I guess when I see the barriers to the bike lane, I think it's really asking for a problem if I use that lane to ride. I don't mind using a bike lane if there is a lot of traffic and it just flows with the road but I won't cross a barrier.

Right Thing Motos Touche’. City riding is tough, I avoid it at all costs. Just takes the fun out of it with allllllll the bullshit to have to be mindful of. Happy new year, guy.

There is a difference between blatantly riding on the shoulder or in a bike lane vs simple filtering. I drive a scooter and live in a non-legal state. If I do some simple filtering, especially if it's to the right of the rightmost lane, a cop is likely to not care much. But if I'm blatantly and easily busting down a bike lane, a cop is more likely to initiate a traffic stop simply because "any motorized vehicle cannot be in the bike lane* Since I want to keep my chances of being pulled over or stopped low, I will do my best to not filter in a bike lane whenever possible

Some times is really great ride in NYC, but some time the traffic getting into my nerves, thanks to the Traffic Police ... special on "Fridays" or when Mr. Trump in town. But we live in the Capital of the World. kkkkk

Yes we do! I hate working late but I do love the nights where nobody is on the roads and I have them all to myself. The best!
