As a child abuse survivor this is EXACTLY what I did when cutting all contact with my biological family, they’d long attempted to slander, bully, harass and threaten me online and I’d never responded, I only ever made one very long post, with a LOT of evidence, asking folk to respect my wishes to go no contact and I’d have no problem blocking anyone supporting the abusers (mother and brother) and blaming the victim (me). What was great was several people shared the post with their own stories about my brother, how he treated women (a lot of non-consensual activity that my mother knew about) and this led to a lot of support for me, and stupidly my own brother shared the post and tried telling his coworkers that I was “spiteful” and “hateful”.. he got fired. There had already been complaints about his behaviour towards the female staff at the restaurant he worked at and potential theft of credit cards/fraud, a lot of information I posted lined up with stuff that happened at the restaurant and they read stories in my replies from women who’d had the misfortune of knowing him, that further lined up with complaints from female workers and he got fired. He only ever shared it once after that to try and slander me, all that happened was a few of his friends contacted me saying they had no idea how horrible he truly was and they were scared of him and asked for advice, and his then girlfriend (now ex and baby mamma) could finally see who he truly was, how our mother would always protect him and lie about his violence, and knew it was time to run. She contacted me, apologised, asked for advice, and contacted her family (that he’d been isolating her from) to escape when he was out drinking one day, just came home to find her belongings packed and gone. Who knew one really long essay length post about surviving abuse from my mother and brother throughout my life would lead to such a glorious downfall! Of course to this day they still blame me, and honestly even tho I’m not responsible for their behaviour, I’ll happily take the blame.

As much as this bitch is crazy, i dont think jumping straight to accusations about professional conduct is exactly classy. Anecdotal, i know, but a friend of mine who had a drug habit in her early teens, has self harm scars on every limb and exclusively dates guys nearly twice her age. She's a decent and professional teacher who also happens to be a mess. But when her ex bf (not husband) made a stink about her cheating (she didn't, i was the other named party so i should know) to the school, she lost her job. OPs "friend" is a piece of shit, but there's no reason to bring professional practice into it with zero information. Story 2. I had my own "pretty woman" shopping moment about 2 years ago. At the time of the incident, I was a week from turning 50. I have many visible tattoos, including one arm sleeved (it was summer and I had a tanktop on). I also have about 20 piercings, and my hair is always a different color (I believe when this incident happened, it was turquoise). I also dress a bit flamboyantly (think Betsey Johnson). So, I was looking for a pair of boots to wear for my 50th birthday party, and went into a high-end shoe store, and the first thing I noticed was someone immediately following as though I was going to steal. I walked around a bit and found a pair of open-toe boots I fell in love with. They came in 2 colors I liked, so I asked the guy that was following me to see them in the white in my size, and the sales guy looked me up and down then told me the price of the boots ($2,500) and asked if I was sure I could afford them. I told him to just please get me the boots. As I was waiting, a young saleswoman (maybe 21) asked if there was anything she could help me with, I told her the other sales person was getting what I needed. We continued to talk and got on to tattoos. She showed me a couple of hers, and she asked if my septum piercing hurt when I got it. You know things like that. When the sales guy brought the boots out, I tried them on and loved them, but his attitude was pissing me off more and more. When I took the boots off, he actually took out a cloth and started wiping them down as if he was trying to get my filth off of them. The young lady looked at me and gave me an "I'm sorry" look. At that point, I had 2 choices, 1-buy the boots and give this ass a nice commission, or 2- don't buy the boots and let him think he was right about me. But, then I realized there was a choice 3. So, I told him no thanks, and he mumbled, "I thought so." I then quietly asked the girl if the manager was in, and she said he was at lunch, but do back in 20 minutes. So, I left the store. I went back 30 minutes later and went right to the sweet saleswoman and asked to see the boots in my size in black. While she was gone, the sale guy again followed me around like I was going to steal. She came back with the boots, and I told her I wanted them. When we got to the cash register, the sales guy came over and demanded he ring them up because I was his customer. I stopped him and asked her to get the manager. When the manager came over, I said to him, "When I walked into this store 45 minutes ago, this gentleman treated me as though I was scum. He didn't want to show me the boots at first, asking if I could afford them. He treated me in a way that if any employee in my boutique (I own a consignment boutique) treated a customer the same way, they would be fired immediately. So, I decided not to get the boots from him because I felt he didn't deserve the commission. However, as I was getting coffe I thought about how sweet the saleswoman was, she offered help without asking, and even when I told her I was being helped, she still engaged me, and we had a wonderful conversation. So, I decided to come back to the store and asked her to get the boots for me but in a different color, as I felt she did deserve my business and commission. Now, your salesman, who was rude, condescending, arrogant, and judgmental, is demanding that he deserves the commision. What is your opinion?" The manager looked at the saleswoman and told her to ring me up, then had the salesman follow him to the back. As the young woman rang me up she told me this wasn't the first time he had treated customers rudely when he thought the couldn't afford to buy anything in the store, and management has spoken to him about it in the past. I thanked her and left with my boots. I went back to the store about 2 weeks later, as I was curious about the outcome, and was happy when the young woman told me the jerk salesman was let go that day! I am a very layed back person and am usually very understanding and forgiving. But, the way this guy treated me and spoke to me brought out the "No one F's with me" attitude I got from growing up on the means streets of Brooklyn, NY. It's an attitude I've learned to surpress, but once it rears its ugly head, all bets are off.

Every year he'd buy a new Mercedes and run a lottery with his employees for last year's model, proceeds going to charity. One year he went to the Mercedes dealer and his usual salesman was out that day. Instead there was a new salesman. Kiekhaver was dressed in jeans and a plaid shirt. The new salesman studiously ignored Kiekhaver and, when E.C. approached him, was rude. So Kiekhaver went down the road to the Rolls-Royce dealer. The salesman there was polite and made a sale, getting a large commission. Kiekhaver then went back to the Mercedes dealer, went up to the rude salesman, and said: "Want to see my new car?"

Book By It's Cover I've had a lot of interactions with the opposite end of of this spectrum. I work in a department that fabricates custom items to the specifications a customer brings me, I am always upfront with all of my customers that custom fabricated items are a magnitude of cost more expensive than prefabricated tems. To throw some numbers around a similar prefabricated might be $100, but when made custom it can be up to $1,000 if certain features and fabrics are added. Ive had people who come dressed up to the nines, suit and ties, dresses and jewels, they look like they're ready to go attend a wedding or fancy dinner party; I sit down with them and quote them the price of what it will be based on their wants and they look at me like I'm stealing from them. I have had one customer literally clutch their pearl necklace as a reaction. Most of my customers who walk in who are wearing street clothes and sneakers that would make Forrest Grump's running shoes look clean tend to be the ones who don't question the prices and are more prepared to go forward.

In any case, she was *rich.* She loved Star Wars to the point that she had bought a Star Wars lunch box and carried it around as her purse. She was once removed from a store because they only wanted "upper crust clientele" coming in. Yeah, she literally could have bought that store, that's how rich she was. Yet she was told to leave because instead of a regular purse, she carried a Star Wars lunchbox.

The first story: Absolutely NOT the butthole. OP is badass. So Lila had her designs set on OP’s fiance and, out of sheer jealousy, kept trying to break up the happy couple because she wanted him? Wow. She tried to be a covert hoe and was overtly called out. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. She easily could have saved herself the humiliation, in the very least, by not pursuing a man who was unavailable and made it abundantly clear that he was not interested in her. Anyone who defends Lila obviously has some very skewed morals and are living in a version of reality that is somewhat altered. I totally agree that OP and her fiance need to go completely no-contact with Lila as well as anyone who are slightly defending her actions. Confronting this kind of tomfoolery needs to be dealt with head-on. That's something I've learned to do as I get older: call people out on the spot on their bullshit. When they're blindsided, they have no time to come up with one of their prerehearsed justifications, rationalizations or excuses for their absolutely toxic, boundary trampling behavior. They tend to play the victim after the fact anyway because, after all, that's a narcissist. At bare minimum, they have no respect for boundaries, zero regard for the word no being a complete sentence and nothing resembling accountability. If they did understand any of those things, or care about how they treat others, then they [wait for it] wouldn't be a narcissist.
@Kalossupremacy33569 ай бұрын

Story 2 - When I was in my late teens, I went to buy my mom a gift. I was in a jewelry store, and everyone was ignoring me because I wasn't in a suit. I was your typical late 80's metalhead - long hair, blue jeans, concert shirt. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I walked to the counter, pulled out $1k in cash, spread it on the counter, and said "this is the money your store isn't getting because you decided I didn't look worth your time."

Blue collar - boots, overalls, baseball cap etc. Well, one day he was car shopping with his wife and when she found the one she wanted the sales rep got _very_ excited about coming up with a payment plan for them. Was going on and on about how it could be affordable with monthly payments for a few years. Then my papaw held up his hand and asked "what's the price of the car?" The salesman was like "excuse me?" "How much money would it take to buy it outrite right now?" The answer was a large sum, which Papaw nodded at before pulling out his wallet and paying for it with cash. Guy was *loaded* but looked like he'd barely have two nickles to rub together lol.

Story 2 - This reminds me of something I heard of about a butcher. The story I heard is the butcher had a store over in the really classy North Shore area of Sydney (north of the CBD, closer to the coastline), but the majority of what he was selling was sausages and mince. He ended up moving out to Western Suburbs (inland, closer to the Blue Mountains) and there he was selling a lot more of the better cuts. Now maybe this is a bit of a reverse image to the casual dress in a designer store, but I feel it says that rich people can frequently take the "lower class" option because it is either money saving or just damn comfortable. In this story's case, I am sure OP like casualwear because it is comfortable, and that is great, OP should keep doing them, and the I am glad the Junior employee is the one who got the commission for that sale.

Story 1, NTA. She couldn't stand that he already had a GF and that it wasn't her. She kept trying to take him from op by trying to get him to dance with her and be by her. I bet she was fuming once the announcement came out that he proposed to op. But she refused to give up and tried to send inappropriate pics of herself as a last effort to seduce him. I'm not surprised that she tried to gaslight and back peddle when she called out by op. When it's obvious that she wants op's fiance and has been trying to take him from op because she believes she's superior and she should be his fiance/GF. People like her have no morals, are narcissistic, toxic and vile. They don't care that the guy is taken instead they believe they should be in significant other's place like their entitled to the BF/ fiance. She knew what she was doing by crying to her friend that op was "bullying" her and it was to make op look bad as well as to stop op from shutting her down. Update, anyone that sends op hateful comments, messages and say op needs to give the witch grace plus forgive let alone not confront her after EVERYTHING she's done are just as bad as her. Talk about completely skipping over how she was disgusted that op was his GF, kept trying to seduce him by getting him to dance with her and be by her. Then she refused to congratulate him on proposing to op because, more than likely, fuming at how he's not paying attention to her and still loves op. She clearly has no morals and doesn't care that he's taken. She only cares about getting her claws into him and get op out of the picture and herself in it. It's also obvious that she's lying about "accidentally" sending those pictures and the stupidity to think he wouldn't tell op. She did that as an attempt to seduce him and stop him from marrying op. Plus to go crying to friend, she knew what she was doing and did to stop op from being able to shut, her attempts at seducing a man who's taken and obviously doesn't want her, down. Yep, I figured she was just a toxic entitled brat. She just clings onto Addison because of a free place to stay and uses her. Addison's husband sees her for who she is but Addison doesn't want to. At least he got through to his wife and no surprise that the entitled toxic brat believes plus blames op for Addison putting distance and boundaries. Why am I not surprised that she spout a bunch of stuff that contradicted and made no sense when she tried to blame op and somewhat, Josh. Then the stupidity to blame Addison for not helping her get with Josh. Yeah, if she went into the house I wouldn't put past her to harm someone specially Addison or op as retaliation for her not getting her way and not being enabled. Not surprised that she hung up after Josh threatened her with cops if she dared to show up at the house because she knew she lost and no chance of ever getting her claws on Josh. Happy Addison realized how horrible that brat is and I don't blame her for not wanting to deal with a person like that's wrath. I seriously doubt that the brat is going to come back and probably just went ahead cut everyone off since she's now seen that she was NEVER going to get Josh and Addison was no longer enabling her. Oh probably haven't heard the last of her, I wouldn't put past her to go really psycho or retaliate.

Story 2 reminds me of a few years ago. There was a small independent shop in our town that sold all kinds of things, from home furnishings to jewellery. My sister and I wanted to club together and buy a really nice set of crystal-like wine glasses for our parents' anniversary. I was freshly out of school and still quite young-looking, while my sister was on her last year or so school. We went in and politely asked if we could buy the wine glass set. The rather snooty staff members kept giving us the eye and saying things like "what, THOSE ones?" and "They are quite expensive, you know" (we assured her we had the money) and "these aren't just standard drinking glasses" (we kept telling her these were for our parents' anniversary). She begrudgingly tilled us up and finally shut up when we produced the money and paid for them. I had heard similar stories about that place, like when they almost refused to sell a piece of jewellery to my friend's mum because she went in there just after she'd finished her shift as a cleaner and was still in her cleaner uniform, and the staff kept saying "we're not sure if this would be in your price range" I wouldn't mind, but they were a fairly higher end shop in a small home town, not Harrods 😑

We arrived by bike to buy our first car: a peugot 205 , at that moment THE car for the young people ( we were +/- 25). We were ignored, the salesmen ( 3) just were discussing weeken plans. After 20 minutes trying to get help we were furious and told them we had cash but would go somewhere where with better customer service. We than walked out and ride our bikes to the renauld dealer and bought a renauld 5 instead within 20 minutes after entering the shop. Loved that car.
