Hey Leslie, It was wonderful to hear how wonderful you felt about being at Rhinebeck, meeting up with all of your yarnie friends. I wish I could meet you one day, but unless you're planning on coming to Melbourne, Australia, the internet will have to suffice. Your light dusting of snow gave me climate envy, is it always so early? I came to Aussie as a child, from Canada, Saltspring Island, and I miss those Autumn days with the evergreen pines mixed with the reds, golds and browns, the crisp air and the scent of everyones woodfire fireplaces in the air. So cosy so sweet, but I love it here more. I cant really complain, as I write this we have been having an extended cool, spring in Melbourne. Its cold outside, I have the gas fire going and Im knitting up a storm, rugged up in my jammies, hearing your hearwarming knitting tales. Thank you for another lovely vlog. Talking about your friend Sara reminded me of taking my friend/neighbor last year. She’s not a maker of any kind (but appreciates all my hand knits) and she was the same! She was just in awe of the amount of people and she had no idea so many people were fiber lovers. She walked around truly appreciating everything and what a joy it was! I was afraid she’s be bored or miserable so it was a treat for me too! PS your knits are beautiful!!

New viewer. LOVE the Starry, Starry night sweater. I found you through Gina's podcast. She highlighted your shrug & I thought it was SO darling (& esp useful for women of a certain age -like myself- that are dealing w/ the "hot-cold-hot" phase of life)! I've only been knitting since my mid 30's & only have branched out from "flats" (scarves & blankets) to try mittens & hats. Sweaters are my next challenge & your Friend ship feels like a nice transition, training-wheels sweater project! TY! ❤ Also appreciated the other suggestions on sweater patterns: Ni Frills, Fancy & Dartmoor. Any suggestion on easy- hard order of those for new sweater knitters?
