Μόλις είδα μια από τις λέξεις που σημειώσεις στο βίντεο 1:21, θυμήθηκα από τις μεγαλύτερες απορίες και τέλειο θέμα για ένα επόμενο γύρισμα: “receive” στα ελληνικά μεταφράζεται σε μια άπειρη ποικιλία ρημάτων: αποδέχομαι, λαμβάνω, παίρνω 😭

Another book I'm sure you will enjoy is, "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett in 1911, two years before the first edition of PollyAnna. I loved this book and I'm sure you will too. Both books were made into movies.

I have just found your videos and they complement my studies of Greek perfectly. Thank you so much. By the way, I loved Pollyanna when I was a child too (a very long time ago). My mother gave me the book too. It was written in 1913 and I’m pretty sure my mother read it herself as a child in the 1930s.

Thank you for this video. I don’t know if you did this purposely, but the English translation came slightly later than the Greek I was hearing, so it was a test to see if I understood what you said by reading the subtitles just a few seconds later, it was perfect. otherwise, I would probably be reading the English while listening to the Greek, and not really testing myself.

A book that had made a great A book that made a great impression on me was the first Greek book I had ever read;; " O Yerostathis apo ta Yianena"

Anyway, to get back to where I left off, another book that will leave a profound impression on the reader, and is my favorite is; "Mister God, this is Anna" by Fynn. It's the true story of an abandoned child and her special relationship with God. It takes place in London's East End.
