We like a project, it makes the winter less gloomy and there's always something to do in the colder months. Benny says Hello :-D

Hi Justin (and Benny) 😄😄😄 I smiled so much while watching this video - it just ended too soon! 😆 And the cuddles with Benny are precious, I think he might be one of your biggest fans! 😃 Gosh, you really have had freezing weather there - and if your tradescantia is anything like mine which got frost-bitten this past winter, you may as well chop off all the dead stems and start over with your new cuttings. I think gardeners are some of the most resilient and resourceful folks out there!! 😅 We have to be! Enjoy setting up your greenhouse - that's so exciting! 😄 Anf I love your bubblewrap idea too. Keep well and stay snug - watching that has made me want a nice hot cuppa! 😆 ☕

Thanks for the video with littlep Benny. I have been putting up a Robin House for my resident Robin who now takes tiny pieces of cheese from my hand and talks to me as I am tidying the leaves. I hope he survives the winter.Storm Bert is here in Kent and I am thinking of sheltering my pots of bulbs from the soaking weather.❤

He seems to follow me everywhere, and comes out of no-where sometimes! I love Robins, you have done well to get it to hand feed. There are quite a few about here but they don't like to get too close! I hope the storm hasn't been too bad for you, it's subsided here but there's mess everywhere and so much tidying up to do!

It was a long time coming, I'm doing a video about my gardening life soon, I gave it up but then it came back to me! I'm glad you like the videos, it's nice to be able to share it :-)

Greetings from Kentucky Justin. We have not yet had a hard frost, but we did have our first light snow fall this week. Fortunately, it was too warm for it to accumulate on the ground. Winter has not really started yet, but I'm missing the growing season already. I'm so looking forward to next year and trying new and different plants. Happy gardening from the US!

So nice to still get out in the garden this late in November. We’ve had frost but no snow here in our zone 6 Niagara Falls area. Thanks for sharing your garden. Drew

Brr, it's mild again today so when I go outside it feels tropical in comparison to the other days!

Your new garden is going to be beautiful! Even after the frosts your garden still looks nice. It's always sad to watch the garden disappear for winter isn't it? I can't wait to see what you're going to do with the new gardens next year :)

I have never seen plants protected with fleece. I am having the opposite problem. My roses are getting burnt from the sun. Love Benny ❤️
@justinthegardener4 күн бұрын
I normally wouldn't go to so much trouble, the plants are triennial so if I can get them through another winter they'll definitely flower next summer! Can't imagine the roses being burned, so many opposites in gardening but we always persevere to get the garden we want :-)

Hi Justin, I hadn't realised the manor had been a working farm - any info on it's history ? The fleeced plants remind me of little mummies 😂 A new secret garden at the manor & a new greenhouse at home to look forward to ! Benny is adorable ❤ Thanks for another informative & delightful video 🙂

It's very old place, the house itself was built in 1662 so is just over 360 years old and virtually unchanged since. It was originally a gentleman's residence then over time became a working farm. The present owner saved it from dereliction in 2000 and has fully restored it, prior to this the fields had been sold off for houses so we're just left with the grounds which are now mostly ornamental as opposed to a muddy farm yard! So glad you enjoyed the video, can't wait to see how it all looks in the Spring!
