A Fujifilm recipe dedicated to a Street Photography legend

Daido Moriyama is one of the greatest photographers alive. His Street Photography approach changed the way we see photography today. As nobody can reach the fantastic body of work of Daido Moriyama, i made a Fujifilm recipe (for the Fuji x100v for example) for those who admire his style of photography. This is my favorite b/w recipe i currently love to shoot with. I hope you like it as well!
I am Oliver, a Street Photographer from Germany. I´ve been shooting Street Photography for nearly 20 years now. In 2016 i started to teach Street Photography workshops. I had solo and group exhitibions in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Italy, published my first Street Photography book "Immerse light, embrace shadows" last year and was juror for international photo contests. Interestingly your recipe is very similar to the one I made except I turned the sharpness down. I also use a ¼ black mist filter to help take away that digital edge even more so. Not intentional trying to create a Daido looking image but an image that pleases me. Maybe subconsciously I was thinking about his work...who knows?

It's actually even further testament to how great he really is, that while he did do a session on the GRiii for Ricoh's 'GRist' series, he just carried on using his trusty Coolpix s7000. Which has been his main camera for most of his digital work. I really recommend his 'Record' series, because it is all his new photographs. Nice to have along side his reissued work, so you can see what his is doing now as well.

Loved this episode! It fits my mood for photography these days. One question though: what did you mean when you said “I set the aperture compensation to -1” for bright days. Did you mean exposure compensation? Thanks again for all your very useful and helpful videos!

By the way, I already added this to my x100v and applied it to some photos in XRAW studio. It looks very nice!! The WC+1 and WG-1 really gives a nice character!

Love your video, question is what is meant mono color WC +1 MG-1 and how do you set it in my xt3 camera.

I think you can apply it, but with the x-trans 3 sensor you have no mono color, right? I unfortunately don´t have my x100f at hand right now to check it....
