I just made four yesterday and you weren’t kidding when you said to use thinner material to make boxing corners easier. 😅 Thankfully I did, but it sure gave my hands a workout! Great pattern though, and thank you for the tutorial. If I’m making a bag for the first time, I always check to see first if you’ve made a tutorial for it. You’re a great teacher! Thank you!

I made 3 of these for my 3 teenaged grandsons for Christmas 2022. The large for all of them for a toiletry bags for shaving gear, etc. They loved them (as much as teenaged boys love anything you make them).

This is such a good one! Especially if you want a large one to hold the hair products, or the hairspray, that big size is perfect.

I am sooo inspired by your videos. I went together some of the things that you use like the cotton canvas or wax canvas or the vinyl the only interfacing available at the store was Pelon. Where do you get some of your supplies Andy's specialty Fabrics

Hi! I’m just learning to sew and love your tutorials!!! my absolute favorite! I am curious though.. other tutorials have shown the exterior and lining sewn separately but this tutorial shows them being sewn together on the sides and boxed corners-seems easier this way. But is there a difference in the look or functionality of the bag btwn the two methods?

Love this! Definitely going to have to try it! Do you have a suggestion of a super beginner bag that would be good for a Disneyland trip that I can wear around the park, that’s big enough for a phone, wallet and maybe a few small things? Thanks!
@OklaRoots Жыл бұрын
Yes I do! This is the bag my mom carries every Disney trip, and shoe always raves about it. It was easy to sew, too kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpWmgqOkqJqdkNksi=zH9zSL8g7tk5j5q7

I know it’s not a country cow design but is there any chance you could do a tutorial on the bionic gear bag??🤞🏼😃

I love the design they came up with for ot being 2 toned. However, I've made a gazillion lined dopp kits, and the construction for boxing the corners is ridiculous. I bought the pattern, but will definitely be using my old methods for boxing the lining and outer fabric separately. Takes half the time, no struggling or wrestling.
@sarahellier5858 Жыл бұрын
I agree that the boxed corners can be fiddly but the great thing is that in the finished article the lining is fully stitched in place and looks and stays so neat inside the Dopp. The first time I did one it was a bit of a head scratcher!
@dgraham719 Жыл бұрын
@sarahellier5858 I made a second one, but turned it wrong side out and just threw a quick binding on the boxing seams. Way easier.

@@dgraham719 I just made four yesterday and I have to agree that boxing the corners is a challenge. I love the design and want to use it (since I already have 20 cut out for gifts), but can you recommend how I could add binding using this pattern, please? I’m pretty new and trying to wrap my head around how to do that. Thank you for any advice you could offer!
