Love the way they lampoon various movies in pop culture. Especially that intro taken from the late Stanley Kubrick’s controversial Clockwork Orange film.

100% that’s what I was saying the shock value of it is completely gone because it’s just status quo to see this type of humor in things nowadays. However it’s such a shame that this series got the short end of the stick and never got the sequel. It was a mix of rare going outta business, and I feel like the devs not really knowing they’re shit atleast chris is like a British git I love the brilliant bastard but he was not the sharpest tool in the shed n u really have to be on your stuff not a druggy to manage a game company. I love conker I think it’s easily in the top 10 best games of all time for many reasons I’m willing to look past even it just flat out doing movie parody which is the laziest writing in the book. I just hope many people r taking notes about how this game subverts tropes like look at conkers idle animations that is a brilliant example the tutorial level is just genius and got me off my toes I’ve never seen a game like it even thoe I said the humor is status qou it really is in all adult animations but like I said I hope more game devs take notes from conker because it is a magical platformer unlike any other even thoe this is gonna get very contrary with what I said I still think the devs where some of the most brilliant game designers by a mile I never saw the brilliance of banjo and kazooey but when I saw conker for the first time a few weeks back I just understand why people say rare is one of the best studios to go under

Inverted controls is the way that true Boomer gamers play, its the newer generations that have lost the way and for some reason cant wrap their heads around inverted controls. Inverted controls actually make the most sense when you are playing a fps or even over the shoulder game, think of it like this if you were to be behind someone and you wanted them to look up by placing your hand on the back of their head you would pull down to make them look up and push up to make them look down, it just makes logical sense. So yeah having it as default is correct from the developers.

I have been working on learning 3D animation for the last 2 years I’m now dipping my toes into computer programming and game design I am very inspired by conker I want a game like it in many regards. I think many devs should take notes from this game theyres never this same level of charm in anything really. Even most modern triple A games are just so dull the world even on a 64 bit 45 mega byte whatever cartridge the world still feels really living and fun to run around it’s like being in a Disney movie or something super campy characters in contrast to the only real sarcastic a hole in the kingdom it’s a good contrast. Where people praise characters like Deadpool for that I don’t think it works well in a gritty super hero movie but with the contrast to how happy n energetic n over enthusiastic everyone is n just how hungover grumpy and Pervy conker is it’s a really funny contrast like I said u can just take notes for days on everything this game did right and just try to recapture some of its magic in whatever we try to design

I’m opting to try n make my own game engine from scratch, n I am working on a 3D show but I am now really starting to peruse the computer programmer path and the game designer route it’s quite a bit to manage! Where I yah would just love to somehow trade socials or something cuz who knows we could have really similar ideas and even make something better if we worked together… I just feel like so many people r out for themselves or u know we gotta be indie devs where I hope u really do consider cuz what r the odds we had super similar visions n I found yah that’s what the internet should be for u know?

Conker's Bad Fur Day was a commercial failure, not least due to puritan-ass attitudes with gaming being "exclusively for children" as well as its raunchy themes. Grand Theft Auto 6, a game projected to release into the wokey cancel-culture world of 2025, is estimated to make $8 billion. GTA is a series primarily composed of black people murdering the police. Games aren't getting less offensive. They're only becoming more able to challenge its audience.

fair enough on the first part, as well as the second one, however you are wrong, gta is not a series primarily composed of that, literally the only instances of that is san andreas and even thats pushing it because it was 90s gang ridden california, where it wasnt primarily black, same goes for gta v and the argument wasnt really about the games not being offensive, its the fact that minus games like gta 6 which is meant to be a simulator of modern day life, you will not find a game like this ever again, regardless of it being a commercial failure or not, therefore it needs to be preserved and showcased
