After finally being able to play a few games of this new scenario I decided to make a video of the game contents, and what I thought of the new expansion for the Game of Thrones Board Game.

Yes, some houses will get stronger or weaker by this, but that’s just a different experience than the dance scenario where that already happened (and to be truthfull, at the base game as well, but to a lesser extent). With this list each house has 8 cards instead of 7, so when you play your second to last one, you get all the other 6 back.

The other expansion is a lot better- new objectives= not only counting castles! This one makes for full civil war from the start, I wish it was for 3-5 players as well. It is no build up etc just stright into action :-) Good review as always!

Could you tell me plsease, what is alternate setup means? is it mandotary to new cards. Or i can use base setup with new cards and without loss of balance?

card effects will follow the iron throne track. so if Mance Rayder with Baratheon is lower on the iron throne track, you do have more final combat strength than 2.

If u have played Melisandre, at the end of that combat, you may take a card back from your graveyard, for the cost of that cards strengh in power tokens. For example you play melisandre, you played Stannis Baratheon in a previous battle, now you may retake stannis into your hand for 4 power tokens. provided you have those 4 power tokens, stannis baratheon is ready for your next battle. you may take any card including melisandre, no matter what the outcome of the battle. it doesnt matter if you won or lost it.

because in the expansion you only got new cards, all the other tokens and the units remain the ones from the base. Would have been strange to play with grey units and grey tokens but using pink/red stained card in your hand. Even on the board, on Winterfell territory, you have the direwolf printed.

This game looks so epic! But my stupid friends are following the TV series or are reading to slow and aren't at the last book yet. So I'm stuck at playing the standard game...

house Targaryen should be in the game ( i guess we'll have to wait for the winds of winter expansion ), it would flesh out the experience of the books more though this expansion seems very good.

A question: What happens if you support yourself and use stannis baratheon. You really have take off your own support?? If you support yourself it does not count as "being supported"?

"If you are not being supported in this combat…" even if you have a support order, you don't have to use it… make sense for the asha greyjoy card in the base game too.

Chillback yes, you can see at the 38 second mark. the Martell card shows the power tokens.

Don't worry - the board game is centralised around the basis of the series it's self, but doesn't give any clues or hints etc, of any events, such as deaths, new kings etc - so watch and play ahead as much as you like!
