Well the Older versions of this game Play essentially the same but far far simpler, just interesting to note

+Gunwarlock that is interesting, I haven't played the first edition. I assume the second edition also incorporates the expansion from the first?

Yes I believe that the complicated ports rule is to counter a slight problem that the first edition had, where usually if you were Greyjoys you got fucked if Lannisters got aggressive over the seas.

+Gunwarlock ah cool, thanks for the info. Really wish they would have use a simpler solution. Using words like "except" in rules makes teaching them difficult, especially to new gamers. Thank for watching :)

Captions pre-empted my thought process. Yeah, this sounds like a cash-in strategy that went wrong. Too much complexity with Port rules, the card bonus rules encourage dumb play... Bring this bad boy out at a party, when you want people to leave.

+Alex Lemcovich this is definitely NOT a spur of the moment game. It is good, it's just a ballache teaching it to new players. Any rules explanation where you use the words "except" or "unless" is going to be tough!

+Alex Lemcovich ugh, Warhammer's rules are so clunky. X-Wing is where it's at for miniatures games. You can play that five minutes after opening the box.
