Im just now learning about phones like this and xiaomi. Personally i like how they are able to pack in dome serious specs by cutting out features i never asked for or use like wireless charging (which is inefficient and hurts battery health), gorilla glass (which gets scratched from just being in my pocket and ends up needing a screen protector anyway) and in-screen fingerprint sensor (which is often finicky if you don't use the right screen protector). I'd take practical, performance and battery life boosting hardware over luxury conveniences that barely work any day.

The plastic build at the price can be easily overlooked. Design is more than just about materials. The phone has a cool design and a 91.0% screen-to-body ratio. I do like the system ui quick settings at 10:47. Wish stock android had QS like that with customizable shortcuts to home devices. Instead of huge QS that take up a lot of real estate.

So, how's Infinix's reputation when it comes to upgrades? A phone can initially be a great buy, but soon loses value if not upgraded. If you import it from China you are somewhat "on your own" after you've bought it.

I have been using infinix note 7 since 2020. Still like i bought it yesterday. No bugs, no restrictions, no performance drop and no issue at all. I can still play PUBG on ultra FPS without any frame drop. Edit: totally recommended
