A gaming pc for only 10$?? The HP Compaq elite 8300??

Follow me on a journey where I buy a second hand, as is HP Compaq Elite 8300 and try to see if I can fix it. During my cleaning I end up also breaking even more without my intention.
Does this pc still play games such as Call of Duty, Dota, League of Legends, Hogwarts legacy, GTA 5 and so on?? Lets find out together.

I have one of those at work. It's old and slow, but it still comes in handy. I had difficulties installing Windows 10 on it, though, so I bypassed the problem. I put the hard drive into another computer, installed Windows there, put the hard drive back into HP, let Windows self-adjust to different hardware, installed drivers for the integrated graphic card and voilà! It's alive! 🙂

Oh strange as this one installed windows without any issue. Could it not have been something like secure boot that you still had enabled or something? Happy for you though you managed to solve it by thinking outside the box! :)

@@techwithdaan I asked Santa to bring me TARDIS for Christmas, so I can think inside the box which is bigger on the inside, but he never showed up, so I had no choice but to think outside the box. 😉

I have the same pc. I'd like to install an Intel q9550 (95w), but I don't know if the cooling system would be enough. It came with an E6500 65w. Any suggestions?

Well it should be okay without dust and new (good) cooling paste. Worst case scenario it will start to blow a lot harder I would say. However, keep in mind that I have no experience in upgrading this one so it is not an assumption

Well I don't have but there's low profile GPUs such as rtx 3050 6gb and Gtx 1650 4gb these are the only low profile GPUs that I found
