I wish there were more of these kind of in-depth, advanced plant growing videos out there. Bravo!

Whenever I use moss to germinate, I try using living moss, and even that I will chop up really small. Works a charm. Right now I am trying tree fern & perlite. I spray them with an Orchid spray (foliar feed) once they have their first proper leaf and before I pot them up. Also, love the new hair!

Hi Alice, great video. 💚🙏🏼 Thank you for explaining everything. I harvested my first batch of seeds and this is very helpful! I’m using fluval stratum for little seeds and it’s working well. I have bigger box for all my seeds (due to space) and they are sprouting nicely. Also it’s then easier, quick and quite clean to move them to another substrate (tree fern mix) and they are doing great! Btw. you have an amazing collection and I love your plants (and videos)! 😍

I always forget about stratum!!! 😅 sending big strong vibes to your seedlings!

Love you Alice! Always such good info and your plants are amazing! I agree about the smaller compact anthurium. The big ones are too big...that's what she said😂😂😂

this is so perfectly timed. my clarinervium just popped an inflo for the first time and I'm so excited! I remember you guys talking about needing the plant to be mature and I'm not sure if we're there yet. might need to snip it.

Hi Alice!!! Okay first!!!! The hair cut *chef’s kiss* 😍 thank you so much for making this video!!! I’m new to anthuriums and later on in my anthurium journey I want to breed my own anthuriums… so when my anthuriums will grow there first inflow I should cut it off? And should I cut off the second inflow too? And start the breeding with the 3rd inflow
@youdontevengrowhereАй бұрын
I personally don’t cut off inflos! I’ve heard that letting them die off allows the plant to absorb more nutrients back than cutting it off early

I can’t think of one off the top of my head but I would just recommend keeping the grade of the amendments on the smaller side and waiting until they have around 2” roots! I would also inoculate with myco afterward because I feel like this mitigates transplant shock

Hello! Thank you very much for your videos, you make such a great content. Just wanna say, Doc Block's Michelles are selling through Netherlands, so in this part of the world we have them too. They are so big, it's crazy I would like to hear your opinion. Do you think that all "superstar" anthuriums will become cheaper someday? Will we see big AOS DF or BVEP for 20-50$?
@youdontevengrowhereАй бұрын
I would not be surprised at ALL to see those pricey anthurium drop down to cheap prices one day!

hi alice, for saving pollen, do you also like to wet your fingers prior to picking it up and storing it in foil? or do you use another technique?
@youdontevengrowhere2 ай бұрын
Definitely no moisture when collecting pollen to store for later! I personally use a thin flexible piece of plastic to gently scrape the pollen on to a folder piece of paper
@donnatrigg2 ай бұрын
only halfway through so apologies if you answer this - have you ever tasted any of the berries? are they sweet?
