I've just got into Anthurims properly this year. So I've gone back and watched so many of your old videos and found the best nuggets of information. Thank you for the incredible content you post! Wishing you and your family a restful festive season🎉

Lived in Minnesota, Texas, and now I live in Southern California. I love Europe so much. We go to visit my husband’s family and like you, the beauty found outside of the densely populated areas always gets me. The culture shock does too 😂 Not in a major way but I love taking it all in and the brain becomes saturated 😂 I also love the cities and everything in between. Hope you have the happiest holidays!

I am sooooo happy to have you back! Glad to hear you had lots of food in the UK, that's always a good time ! aha though, hearing someone from Vancouver say that the UK has good views is kinda funny. I am so jealous you have Van as a backyard. :) also, a complete aside note, but I am in urban planning and the density/narrow design of much of urban UK is something the North America should be following a bit closer-it directly contributes to keeping municipal taxes lower by reducing infrastructure costs. It also makes amenities more accessible, creates walkable neighborhoods and reducing reliance on cars, and when looking to countries that have denser neighborhood design, we can see that denser neighborhoods tend to provide environments where people can age in place more comfortably. :)

I’m glad you had a great time! My daughter traveled to St. Croix which is part of U.S. territory and even there it was a bit of culture shock for her but she fell in love with the island. She too said the women and men were beautiful and their resource conservation was impeccable. For instance, taking a shower, you get yourself wet, turn off the shower, lather up your hair, wash your body and then you rinse. There’s no water waste. Things were a bit expensive but she’d like to go back. She was there for three weeks. A couple of years after, she went to Brazil, it was during the off season but she said everything was extremely affordable. She speaks some Spanish so she learned Portuguese for her trip. She was there for about 5 days so she definitely would like to go back one day. Iceland is next on her bucket list. I’m sorry about your plant falling but I am relieved to know that I’m not the only one that drops plants! Almost at every watering, I drop someone. 😩 welcome back and Merry Christmas!

The decanting dish soap seems to be more of an asthetics thing instead of convenience. Like it actually seems inconvenient to get another bottle and have to refill it when you can just use what it comes in🤔 Anywho, love the tips for keeping my plants safe during travel. I think its one thing that keeps me from traveling

Hey I just selfed my KOS! I got a large yield! 150+!! I will say tho, I did pollinate my Michelle with a friends KOS. About half of the berries didn’t have seeds, so we only got 36 seeds total (then split 50/50). Thanks for the videos!! Love your content.

That’s really encouraging to hear, and also congrats on the huge KOS batch!! I’m hoping one day mine can crank something out but maybe I have a bad breeder on my hands 🥲

I love your collection! Can you give some advice on the amount of cal/mag? I use a GT foliage focus fert every water/or in their reservoirs. The amount of calcium in it is 1.3, amount of magnesium is 0.7. For semi hydroponics (how I am growing mine) they suggest 5 to 7 ml per litre. I am just starting out with anthurium and want to give them what they need. Would you suggest extra cal/mag? Or something else? I am not into breeding just yet, just want to grow those luscious healthy leaves. I read elsewhere that anthurium actually need a fert that targets the flowers, would you agree? I have just been using the GT foliage focus due to having a ton of other house plants. I can purchase their flower focus one, but the calcium and magnesium amounts are actually lower. Thanks so much!

I’m from a small city outside of the lake district in the UK and just want to say, nothing is ‘convenient’ about the UK, we seem to do everything in a complicated manner (thank the shitty government for the way things are set up!!). I’ve never set foot anywhere near the US or further afield but having watched people from across the pond here on KZbin I think they would all experience what I would feel would be a step back in time for you all. The UK is very antiquated, the railways are the perfect example especially here up North. London is where the government spend the money, we get forgotten about up here close to scotland. Also, funny thing about the washing up liquid, we put it in our sink bowls for washing the dishes, not onto a sponge which is why you will see it just in the bottles (typically). Chemicals are much heavier regulated here in comparison to the US, our water courses, rivers etc have been heavily polluted over the years and a lot of people are using more enviromentally friendly options etc where poss. I love hearing about your trips and how you see our little part of the world over here, I wish I could experience some of Canada, maybe 1 day but a trip to London (I’ve only ever been for the day) is traumatic enough, it’s so so crowded and hectic and no one looks at you or says hello, I much prefer sticking to my tiny city here up north!! Also, just a thought but I expect that the cost of the food items in Iceland are so pricey due to the nature of their travels, it is so expensive importing items onto islands which typically import 90% of everything as everything seems to be produced oversees. We are immediately taxed etc so I assume that’s why the nordic countries is extremelly expensive. Love to hear more on your experiences, love from the cold part of the UK!
