If this were really a superior method of connecting a cable to this type of battery, I am sure some very smart, extensively trained, highly experienced, and well-paid engineers in one of the thousands of industries that have used this battery style for the past 150 years would have designed it, and we would be using it today. I am not a design engineer, but this connection has several flaws. In my opinion this is dangerous and could quite easily cause a fire or explosion.

Sorry, not such a red hot idea. If you had just attached the cable to the original clamp the way it was supposed to be attached it would have been a better connection. Try something else you don't seem to be either a good electrician or mechanic. I won't be back.
