In this episode I am exploring some of the geological wonders of Namibia! Starting with descending into the Brukkaros crater - which is in fact not a crater at all! After a hectic climb, I continue to marvel at the Dolorite intrusions at the Giants Playground near Keetmanshoop. What a day!!

Noraly needed the time-out to perfect her new site; well, it was nicely done, congrat, girl! Now the geological lessons can continue, we need more of those educational rides. We all know that no harm comes to you.....

That was some walk to show us (and you) those amazing shots. Brilliant. Wonder how many "Adventure Riders" would do that either for themselves or their audience. Good that you could just leave Savanah on her own!! Wife asked me yesterday "Has Itchy Boots put up another vid?" She is as hooked now as I am.

In the UK that would have a tarmac road, cafe, museum and of course souvenir shop so you could buy a fridge magnet…. Great video

Funny! Same here in the US, except you would also have to buy a ticket and make a reservation six months in advance!! Lovely video Noraly, you have become quite the documentary film maker!

@@ramant5576 Don't forget warning signs and guard rails all over the place as well. (Although away from main facilities/bus/car tourist area you don't have that at the likes of Grand Canyon.)

As someone who was bitten by a snake while climbing a mountain, I kept thinking that those rocks like a perfect spot for them. Were you worried?

I was thinking the same thing. Always be on the lookout for puff adders because they rely on their camouflage and won't move out of the way when you approach. Getting bitten so far away from medical services would probably be fatal if bitten by a cape cobra and cause a very unpleasant ride to town if bitten by a puff adder. Parts of Namibia have black mambas, something to keep in mind. Lot of scorpions about too. Would carry some kind of emergency snake bite kit myself.

When I went to Mt. Brukkaros in 2008, David the gate guard warned that he'd been chased twice the previous year by black mambas - once on a bicycle and once on foot. It is perfect puff adder habitat as well, as you noted.
