capacitors smooth the power out and usually don't have a polarity. voltage regulators change the voltage. Isn't the APU only producing DC power to the batteries? If so, then it's a problem with your inverter which converts DC to AC. Of course your videos are so far behind, you've already fixed this by the time I type it...

Disconnect the trailer and have the crane turn it around

I went to a rig site where there wasn't enough room to turn around. The loader operator hooked up the back of my flatbed and told me to just back around the pipe rack and he'd do the rest. He lifted the back of my trailer and dragged me around the rack. The drives stayed on the rock. The crane operator could've done the same. Once the drives got into the sand, he could've hooked to the nose hooks and pulled the tractor back onto the gravel, if the drives couldn't bite.

Man, I love your channel and I know you don’t react well to criticism but I’m just going to go ahead and say it. If you try to cut corners at the end it will cost you more than having someone professional fix your truck issues now. I know things are expensive but when you add the hotels, the spare parts that you are buying, the time you are using to troubleshoot the issue when you could be getting some sleeping time, the stress that you add on top to an already stressful job, possibly missing delivery dates or your reset time…. man… just find a good repair shop and have those issues fixed. Driving around without AC in the middle of summer and then having to constantly be replacing coolant because of the leak at $11 a bottle, just fix the damn thing properly by a professional. Also, not to criticize but letting your diesel tank run almost empty before deciding to stop to fill up in a rookie mistake, as a truck driver you should never let that needle hit 1/4 tank, some drivers will tell you to even fill it up if you hit half the tank because you never know what’s going to happen on the road, you might get stuck in traffic for hours and hours and with the truck idling you will be fucked, weather might change and you might be stuck somewhere, you always want to have enough diesel in your tank for any eventuality, don’t wait until you are running on fumes fo fill it up. I have known people that were stuck in traffic for 17-20 hours without moving one inch because of hazardous spills that need to be clean by special teams before traffic can resume and those guys thank the lord that they had enough diesel to keep the A/C and/or the heating running. Best of luck.

Those big windmills? If the wind is blowing they are very efficient, that is why they put them in wind zones. Over in Europe in 2007 they installed 56 of them, they provided the power equivalent to the needs of 30 million average households. Avoided 91 million tons of CO2, equivalent to taking 46 million cars off the road. They are very efficient, that is why power and private companies are putting them up all over the planet. Its cheap power and you don't have to burn coal, fuel or gas!

A tripped and non resetting GFI is an indication that whatever is plugged into the outlet is at fault (or in fault). Unplug everything then restart your plant and your outlets should reset unless you have a faulty GFI outlet. { A GFCI protection device operates on the principle of monitoring the imbalance of current between the circuit's ungrounded (hot) and grounded (neutral) conductor. It does not monitor the grounding conductor, and so it will still operate in a circuit without a ground. }
@USMMCE
@USMMCE 3 жыл бұрын
All off the GFCI's that I've dealt with will reset with NO power going to it. Now, if there is a ground short in or coming from the APU, that could be the problem but if the APU is off and the GFCI's still will not reset, I would replace one of them and see if that works.

Check the wheel seals and brake stroke also. Listen now and believe me later it's called preventive maintenance and will save you money, downtime, and possibly your life. You can make more money if you stopped and got the truck fixed. You are going to get nikel and dimed to death the way you are doing it. I'm all for fixing my truck my self, but I learned a long time ago it is better to pay someone to fix it right the first time rather then fixing it half way 9 times. You are spending $70+ a week for antifreeze, $70+ a night for hotels and buying lots of parts you apparently don't need in a quest to fix a problem you haven't figured out. By the time you fix it, it probably will cost the same as going to the shop in the first place. Also with a good running truck you aren't late for loading and unloading. Just my 2 cents...

@@orale_vato didnt pay any attention to what area your delivering in there but im a union ironworker going on 20 plus years now and usually work each job site along with a crane and operator... so you wouldnt be waiting to be unloaded any time at all in these parts unless you hit a busy delivery day and had trucks rolling together with multiple loads at the same site and your not there first would be only reason youd be waiting around.. i know these operators in our area business agents are on top of their guys contract and job site condition specifications and they have it pretty good sounds like the operators on that site are not union men jumping from crane to crane site to site throughout the day.. union operators in our area stay on one machine only each day regardless of work load even if only one pick or 100.... and have an oiler right along with them... depending on the type of company running the show if its a good outfit to work for ive seen many operators and us included make a whole day in a couple hours sometimes less just unload a truck or two call it 8 and skate be in a parking lot waiting on the local watering hole to unlock and open the doors lol...

If not for government covering much of the costs. Those windmills would seldom be built. I was in Columbus NS Aug 5th. Guess @ a month after you were there. You can never go wrong adding a chain, strap as long as to good spots, tight… In Ogallala NE no diesel at Wally World. The CENEX did have diesel. At much higher prices. Further West more $$$$

If that is an inverter type APU be careful of believing the multi meter. Those meters actually measure average value of the voltage and depending on the waveform the meters can read weird values. You need to check the frequency... plug an OLD style clock in and see if it runs slow or fast.That capacitor makes me think your unit may be a brushless alternator. You need to make sure the capacitor is the RIGHT value... don;t believe what was in there is the right value. In the brushless type the capacitor kind of resonates a winding that kind of idles and maintains the magnetism in the rotor. I have a 6 KW silent diesel and the correct capacitor is about 25 Mfd. Somebody make have "fixed" the unit wit ha wrong value to get by... sort of. Refer to the manual to verify what is required.
