I agree with you Robert. I got my cdl in 93 in Illinois. When I was taking my writen test. There was someone next to me that had a translator. I asked someone about that and they told me they couldn't answer. Just horrible the way most of them will take a loaf just to cover fuel. Because like you said they don't have a place to live so they just want a different view.

I'm glad I sold my truck and became a company driver hauling pneumatic cement tanker in Florida. Not going to lie, it has been very challenging this past year as freight is down but again, I dont pay for nothing, just drive the truck as I see these foreigners dropping the rates. It's an Industry that's tanking right now. Lot's of people parking their trucks!

Hey there guys i can se that this work is starting to shorten your fuse Robert. Honestly is it all worth th effort you two as a Team put in . I do also see how much you work so well together and always have your customers first but some times like anything to do with any part of the Trucking Industry you are the one who outlays every thing to be treated like a second grade citizen. Very few Loaders will show you any consideration unless they want some super human effort from you. That phone cll you had made me laugh it sounded like you had a dam Porn site or some thing talking in that husky voice. I am just Happy here in Aus i have regular work in Market and Wine indistry where i simply tell them when i will be in and i have a load and the same on the other end so i can plan when and where i will be at any given time. I agree Robert. You should be able to speak english in order to drive. But what makes the situation even more dangerous is, not being able to read english.. Some shippers are requiring drivers to be able to speak english. Which is good but, all agencies issuing CDLs should be doing the written test in english only. These drivers also speed well over the 4 wheeler limits. I like to see each state identify the companies that have drivers that regularly go excessively fast, ticket the drivers and start issuing heavy fines to the companies after a certain number of their drivers are ticketed. 29:03

When automatic transmissions were put into trucks that’s when anybody and I mean anybody could get a CDL. All you have to do is point the truck and back up every once in awhile and sometimes the yard guy will do it for you just to get you out of his way. Yep when 10 speed road rangers, 13 speed, and heaven help us Twin Sticks went the way of the horse and buggy that’s when trucking went to shit.

You go in to do your dot medical, and most speak Ukrainian, Cuban, and Spanish. Then here on the West Coast, we put up with Canadian drivers who only speak Pakistani. I know I sound racist, but I have been doing this for 35 years, and never have I seen worse drivers; how did they get CDL that can not drive. I can not tell you how many have tried to take the front off my pete because they can not tell they have gone far enough before pulling into the lane after passing. Then you add the young kids who should not even be out there who don't care at all; it is just a job to them and CDL schools just keep turning them out like an assembly line. They might know enough to pass the driving test, but that's all, Yep I am ranting

Worked on the SENECA AND GREEN GIANT HARVEST CREWS when I was younger. I think the only tractor I have not run is a 2 cylinder JOHN DEERE. Ran some huge loaders in the rock quarries for MATHY'S. MASSEY I think is made in CANADA though or started there years ago and FENDT IS GERMAN MADE so do not know how they are doing. TOURED AGCO plant in JACKSON, MN. back in early 2000.
