you can add a F38 plate on top the rod mount and you get a great setup. I will they had a BMPCC rig

The top nato rail kinda bends/moves when you attach the top handle to it. Is it just me or is it the same case with you guys as well? Here is how you test it, attach a top handle to your Falcam FX3 cage's top plate and then mount your camera to a tripod and then move/bend your top handle. Remember to LOCK the tripod's movement. I think it is the rubber but no top plate should be moving like that. I am afraid it might damage the FX3 original mounting screw holes. It kinda bends/moves like a skateboard's trucks.

Yep, another commenter (ie. Biskero) made a good suggestion to use the F38 quick release base with the plate. In addition, one of the product pictures for the baseplate shows the F50 quick release base is attached giving it a much stronger connection via 3/8” and 1/4”.
