Dope review! I fell into the same cinema rig hype and after about a year of use, I realised that the camera isn’t really meant for that. Now i use it with a monitor only and prefer the freedom of portability, and access to all the buttons. If i want i more “pro” camera i would get an FX6 or Burano. JM2C

Exactly!! Hoping my to add an FX3 to my company near the end of the year which will definitely be more suited to rigging up as you said!

you could open up the touchscreen and change the options right there? On the r6ii thats possible. but not 100% sure about the sonys.

I own the cineback as well, and I am against using dummy batteries similar to your reasons therefore I use a d-tap to USB C PD cable which provides the required voltage to power the fx3/30 with the usb c port and it opens the ability to hot swap the camera as you have the original sony battery inside the camera so you don't have to worry about your v mount dying mid-shoot.
@JonnyRoams9 ай бұрын
I really need to get that. I’ve also just heard bad things in general using dummy batteries!
@gwm-btdbattlesagar.ioandmo99889 ай бұрын
@JonnyRoams definitely look into it! I would recommend a right angle pd cable if you can find one?

cool Video! I'm thinking about buying a Monitor. How is the latency of the Mars M1 enhanced when connected via Hdmi?

Isn't the hole thing of FX3/FX30 that they already have mounting points in the body, so you don't need a cage?

What about the FX3 handle and audio interface? How do you record your audio with these setups?

Not sure why my FX3 is outputting 1080p to the Holland Mars M1 Enhance instead of 4k. Can't find a way to change the resolution. Any thoughts?
@JonnyRoamsАй бұрын
The Mars M1 is only 1080p

@@JonnyRoams For some reason my video preview wasn't showing correctly and it looked zoomed out on the Mars M1 but I figured out the issue. Not due to resolution as I thought, just a camera setting. Thanks!

@@JonnyRoams Oooh how so? Why would anyone get the GM II that's like triple the price over a used 28-75 G2 that runs for sub $700 occasionally?

@@Ngojohnny_dp better auto focus, sharper, build quality, declickable aperture ring, lens breathing compensation, manual focus button. To name a few.

@@JonnyRoams Did you ever use the Tamron Utility App to program the left button on the 28-75 G2 to be a manual focus button? I feel like that would've solved that one easily.
