What age group is Gather? Would it be too difficult for an 11 year old boy that just got a dog? Any suggestions?

Gather is meant for Young adult readers. I would recommend “Born to Run” by Michael Malpurgo or “The Dog Who Wouldn’t be” by Farley Mowat. TinTin comics have the lovely dog Snowy in them.
