You asked how long we've gone without a cooking pot. Sometimes they're elusive for sure, but to be safe I keep a few empty cans since you can fill them with water and boil them so I always have something to drink. Then once I get a cooking pot I can start scrapping them.

Im so delighted that you have started a builder playthrough. Though the building aspect is often the last feature most players concentrate on its pretty goog in this game. I have built some extraordinary bases on the Steam version. Unfortunately I no longer have a PC but the Ps5 version still has a lot to be said for it. I would really like to know what settings you chose re number of zombies, resources etc, so I can gauge whether I can deal with it based on your experiences?

Nice start! Sounds like a good series. The map is pretty awesome. A lot of bunkers and gas stations with workbenches. You are worried about water, but there is water everywhere. You will stumble across some soon. I like starting in the burnt forest, cause those half buildings drop almost everything you need starting out...water/empty jars, cooking pots, wrenches, pistols, feathers/eggs...and the nests are easy to find. On the subject of half houses, watched you loot several and each time you overlooked the garbage pile/ garbage can next to the stove/cabinet immediately off the foundation... Also, I think you could have built a forge before you used up your hides...forge the first day is a dinger for me. I might restart if I can't get that... Mark that trader on your map and check often to find more as you move around the map. I actually wrote down all trader coordinates if you happen to want them.

I was gonna start on this seed a few days ago. Had read some good things about it and the other Destination seed too. I prefer desert as a starting /near starting location. as the food/water/healing issues are solved in the desert, bird nest too.

Yes, that is my second favorite. Cactus and one jar keeps you in food and drinks forever.

Make sure to take a chair with you in the bank vault it will help you reach the top safes also break the wall next to the vault door, its easier and you can walk right in

Started out pretty awesome, 3 deer and a pig... one-shot the lot... damn! Then hub city.... downward spiral... As for cooking pots, I think i went into day 2 or 3 without one, was living off yucca's and snow berries. I eventually found a cooking pot, unfortunately it was rigged and exploded, killing me. What's the strangest start you've ever had?? Mine was spawning in a new map, found a crater within several feet of spawn, went to take a look and a Feral zombie and dog had spawned there in the crater..... needless to say i ran like hell.... Lol!

Yea i remember the minibike book episode you did... if I remember correctly i was playing alongside your playthrough on the same map, i believe i was giving you information on where the towns were and what stores and poi's were in them too...! I did play on a random map once and spawned within the greenish hue of hub city! Anyways looking forward to seeing what kind of bases/citadels you build.... personally I've always wanted to build a fortress style base in hub city, may just use this seed your using and give it a shot.... hmmmm, definitely worth thinking about!!

3:55 if you're gonna do a new gameplay of this game I would recommend crafting a bunch of clubs before crafting the bow so that when you craft like 100 wood clubs you're at level like 120 in weapons haha.

This is a hard game to learn. But your videos have give me some good tips. I have start over and over again, i guess 50 times. I have a hard time getting food and water. So i like to live near a lake or river, if i have a pot to cook in. So it could be good to see a serie of many days, just to see how the game getting more advance. Keep it going, Spartan

Ok, so I've explored a lot of this map to see what it has to offer..... so we have the main hub city as always, plus a mini hub city. I've found 7 towns, however one of them is half in the rad zone, no fear though, it has one of every store in the half that isn't in the rad zone. 9 traders and a military camp (not the one with minefields)!! And then 12 cave systems, a few of these are flooded. One particular cave is in a desert biome with exposed oil shale, great for making your own fuel. If you want the co-ords to any of the stuff mentioned above then let me know and I'll post them on here. Have fun and happy building!

Bro i would give you a few tips first thing you do is break two boulders with stone axe then get feathers and wood make a bow and do nothing but hunting til you get twenty hides yeah get some stone and coal and make your forge put the raw iron in who you got from the boulders and start smeltinh and make some iron tools if you have that get like 200 stones and 200 coal and make them into cobberstone when you finish then make a house out of flagstone blocks get some extra coal to upgrade you house to to a beter tier and thrn you have a pretty good beginning

I bumped difficulty to warrior or at least I need to, it was nomad. Loot respawn is off. I believe everything else is normal, or and cheat mode on but only for the mining helmet lol

Always check the map first thing on a random gen map, make sure to avoid hub city at all costs. A feral will wreck you in seconds! Also empty cans you can fill with water and boil them without a cooking pot I believe.

A full stack of 250 feathers crafted into 250 arrows, then craft your bow and it will put it into the orange quality colour!! Also, if your crafting at night so as to avoid zombies, place a wood frame (do not upgrade it), place a chest on top of the frame, spam craft axes, put them all in the chest, when full just remove the wood frame... chest falls and it's content disappears. Saves you having to scrap them all!!

I'd like to see you build either a Mayan temple type base or maybe a catwalk type base as I've struggled getting a catwalk base to work due to pathing of zombies. It works on pc but near impossible to design a good working catwalk on console 😢 be interested in what you come up with 🤔

When you start a random gen world it will ask you for a name, that name will be the seed that gets generated to create your map/world/game...... if you want to play on the exact same map on console, then put in the name Destination Zero. Capitol D and capitol Z, if you don't then your map will be completely different!!

Think you should do a series without cheat mode on. Way more fun and unpredictable! If it means going a few days without a miners helmet then so be it! Tbh I usually find one in a car pretty early anyway so think the games built for that. Cheat mode just ruins any play through I watch as I can never know how much it’s being used

All and every game i play on console i will use some form of cheat mod or cheat mode, purely because games are so unpredictable. For example, here on 7dtd I've fallen through building roofs without probable cause and died losing all my gear, so cheat mode gets used to replace my gear due to game bug.... I've fallen fowl to specail zombies such as Ferals on day 1 and have been nowhere near a hub city, I've even got stuck underwater after grabbing an airdrop.... dieing like that and losing high quality gear is unacceptable to me. So i use the cheat mode to get my stuff back!!

@@darylmccarthy3926 This is true, but then a lot of players keep the super zombie powers turned on, whereas i turn it off, i.e i turn the run mode off, simply because it makes no sense that during the day zeds are shambling corpses, but at night they can sprint faster then an Olympic gold medalist and hit harder than a truck!! This is why i only ever watched World War Z once, it's also why I've never played Dying Light and also why i stopped playing State Of Decay 2 after 3 years running!! However i don't use cheats to cheat, just to rectify bad game code that's all.
