I remember watching your channel in its early days and it quickly becoming one of my favorites. Ill never forget you mentioning in one of your videos that you became a control player because someone told you a good magic player plays control. From there on you inspired me as a new player to become a control player in modern, even to this day. I can relate significantly to what you're feeling. I had to quit Magic around 2018 due to the cost and started learning low-stakes Poker, which got me through my masters before I got a real job that's ... yeah, half killing me. Magic isn't the same beautiful game it once was; it's changed, as has what pushed me far away: the publisher's ethics around the game. Essentially, their behaviour and communication around the ban lists and the sheer amount of cardboard coming out. Good luck with everything, Harry. Your videos really connected with me when I wasn't in a great place, so thank you! I hope to maybe lose some cash as a "donation" if you start doing poker updates on Instagram. Make sure to make a community post!

I have been on the verge of quitting for a while but the game fills too big of a void for me to quit it. I need to find a suitable replacement. Thanks for the good videos and good luck with poker . I play magic and poker myself. I can definitely relate to feeling jaded with magic at times. I do think wotc have made a lot of poor decisions in the last 8 years. I always seem to manage to pull myself out of slump with magic by playing a different format, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a day comes where that doesn’t work anymore. Im not surprised. Pre-releases have been absolutely nuts recently. Everybody is in awe at the power creep. I started playing in battle for zendikar, and i remember kaladesh coming out and going "wow, this block is powerful", but it seems so weak compared to whats happening. I mainly play draft and limited now, with a bit of legacy when I can find time.
