The widespread implications of mistakes in professional fields also reinforces how terrible this really is for us. It's not just the elderly that are affected, although they are the most at risk. Those that operate technical jobs will suffer from minor sleep deprivation and therefore perform worse. This in turn as you could imagine could cause widespread societal implications such as not catching signs earlier in patients. Misdiagnoses. Mistakes in code. Errors in financial booking etc.
@bobogus7559 Жыл бұрын
I think one of the worst jobs to have under such conditions is that of an air traffic controller. I couldn't imagine the stress even under normal conditions, let alone when impaired by sleep deprivation and more likely to make mistakes that could potentially jeopardize hundreds of lives.

Thank you for addressing this issue regarding daylight savings. I worked in healthcare for decades, mainly with the old old. The last decade and a half, I actually did live-in positions. I caught on to the daylight savings problems with the elderly early on. I let them make the adjustment on their own. Many stayed on their own standard time. When the clock went forward, they never gave up that hour of sleep. I tried telling people daylight savings time had an adverse affect on old folks. Glad that it's finally being addressed. Thank you Chubbyemu for bringing this problem to light. I've also thought that hospitals could be more patient oriented, by taking the patients regular schedule into consideration - nursing homes too. No reason shift changes duties, in the medical field, can not be made to save lives.

Builder no:88457475 Is a newly manufactured lego builder presenting to the emergency room with a severe case of crusdetrmintina crus coming from the Latin word for leg and detrimitina coming from the Latin word detrimentum that means loss. severe-leg-loss. now usually a treatment for this is very simple find a donor leg that fits pop it on, send the patient home and tell them to come back if it starts getting loose however in 88457475's case they were unable to find a suitable donor leg in the required time and they cant just fit any old donnor leg onto 88457475 as that may cause a condition where the figure is no longer suitable for their intended purpose which could cause figure abandonment or as in most cases dismantlement. they place 88457475 on a temporary life support machine while they look for his leg. and within a few hours they found it floating in the lego city river. they immediately transport the leg in a rescue helicopter back to the hospital and access the damage to it the leg barley passes the transplant specification standard only one more paintchip and the leg wouldn't be viable. they immediately rush 88457475 into the reassembly room and in a gruelling 3-minute operation reattach his leg. he was discharged the following day and made a full recovery

That's right. Here in Sweden, researchers at the Karolinska Institutet have investigated how the number of heart attacks in Sweden has varied during summer and winter time changes since 1987. The change to summer time on the last Sunday in March each year increases the risk of heart attacks during the following week. In return, the return to winter time entails a reduction in risk, which is however smaller.
