@@NicVieriMechanic The only piece of advice, is to line up the MAXXIS logo with the air valve. This makes the valve easy to find, when needing to add air. Many bikes come like this when bought new.

@ I’ve lined the size logo up instead. But yes I think that would look better with the Maxxis logos. The only strange thing I noticed is that they aren’t evenly printed on the two tires.

I could have happily sat through one that was 3 times as long. There were times when I would have liked the ambient sounds to be a touch louder but as others have said, the absence of an overdubbed soundtrack was very welcome.

Fantastic video, Nic! I've enjoyed a lot of the content you’ve done with Francis and appreciate how clearly you explain things. That said, this non-talking format was absolutely brilliant-I learned more in 9-minutes here than on many channels that pad out their videos with unnecessary chatter. Far better than GCN Tech.

Also I really like that you chose an Italian Frame, (im a german with a farilight faran) now we only need too find an Italian Mech that likes German Steel Frames and wed be a funny Trio =P (Unlikely tho, weirdly imho no good steel out of germany)

I tend to swap between tires every couple of joints to test different ones out. But to be honest these have been really good one the first two rides. Well at least where we ride. My usual go to is Michelin

It’s just a mountain bike with drop bars except a mountain bike is far superior off road

@@Tarmaccyclocross except a mountain bike is way slower on the flat stuff. And can’t stick road wheels on one either 🤷🏻‍♂️ Current mountain bikes have become super good. Almost too easy to ride on technical trails. Gravel bikes offer that fear of death we used to have. A lot more can go wrong

Nice video NIck, but putting SRAM on this gorgeous Made-in-Italy bicycle is like scrawling a mustache on the Mona Lisa with a felt pen. Should have been Campagnolo - groupset + wheels. If you're gonna slap SRAM on something, get it from China!

The current campag stuff looks great, but it just doesn’t work as well unfortunately. If only they focused their wireless tech into the Ekar group set instead of a slightly less crazy expensive Super Record. On the wheels front. They wouldn’t last 3 months up here unfortunately. Their cup and cone bearings are just not up to the wet and mud we have 😞

Just the mere wording, gravel bike - pisses me off beyond reason.. its a fkg cyclo-x bike for god's sake! and an mtb is now a Motocross bike WITHOUT and engine, which can't go uphill

Well technically speaking it’s not a CX bike. They have higher bb’s, much steeper angles, are designed to shouldered easily and limited to about 35mm tire clearance. Hybrid would technically be the right term for “gravel” bikes. But does it really matter what you call it? 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's really not. A CX bike is like a road bike with a nuts BB height and clearance, designed for short blasts. Gravel bikes...are a bit more chill. Even if there's zero gravel in the UK 😂
@leedorney
@leedorney 27 күн бұрын
@matthewlewis2072 their is in Wales and Scotland mostly on forest tracks/fire roads.. but then an MTB could tackle these no problems, then mtbs became a motorbike without an engine and does more distance up and down than 'up a hill'... NOW 'gravel bikes' can do what an MTB used to do cept they've got drop bars just like John Tomac used to have, 1 day, someone will (re)design an 80's mtb 🙃
