Okay i know John defeating hal with 13 rings at the end is kinda stupid but hear me out…since the green lantern rings strength is purely based off will power, what if Hal’s will to carry out his evil plan was not strong enough due to his real self fighting an internal war Parralax. So because John knew he was in the right he had no doubt and more “will” behind every action making him stronger. 13 x 1 is equivalent to 1 x 13

I mean, John is a great Lantern, but here he's a total rookie and Sinestro is one of the all-time great Lanterns with tons of experience and will power. No chance John would beat him. Same for Hal. And Hal being amped like that could be taking out Lanterns and Kryptonians with relative ease. Sure, it's not Zero Hour Parallax, but it's still a very powerful version of Hal here. It's like the writers didnt give a shit about consistency.

Well it gives you more power to use, though its usually only plot convenience, if a ring runs out of power or not.

It would only really serve to extend the time someone could fight and how wasteful they could afford to be with their energy. Either the energy used for anything they did would be split between all the rings or it would draw from one ring until it was depleted of power and then swap over to a different one. It's better when a character has multiple rings of different types instead of the same kind. They have some unique abilities, can sometimes buff each other and sometimes mitigate each other's weaknesses/side effects, and allow a character to fight effectively even with a compromised emotional state.

When in proximity to each other Blue amplifies the power of Green (like 2x) and Green enables Blue to form constructs (normally it can't). Wear both and a character gets constantly boosted and can heal themself and others.

I'm so glad that I didn't bother to watch the actual movie. I should have known that some corporate big wig wrote this mess after how Ganthet looked, much less what happened to him. At least with the Bruce Timm universe thing made more sense. Can you imagine the kids growing up, thinking that this is the normal canon? This should be titled "An Elseworld Incident" or something. Taking the Emerald Twilight storyline and turning it into this... I realise that after Justice League Dark, DC has abandoned the DCU Animated movie series and is opting for "the Tommorowverse" and this appears to be part of their one-shot stand alone movies. But still it's insulting to Jordan, Rayner and many Lantern Corps fans.

Why does so much inconsistencies and inaccuracies surround the Green Lanterns? It doesn’t have to be. Green Lanterns abilities and capabilities are well documented. People who write about them simply have to read. What about a story that cuts all the Green Lanterns off from the central battery so whatever power you have in the ring and the power battery is all each Green Lanterns have. I suggest this act triggers a default sending all Green Lanterns to Mogo as this act would indicate Oa is under attack. On Mogo, the Guardian would brief Green Lanterns of the situation. I assume the Honor Guard would be left behind to defend the central battery given the honor guard rings do not require recharge. I would assume a select group of Green Lanterns would be sent to Oa to join the Honor Guard.

Why would a Guardian board a vessel and head to Earth when they can move, based on thought, throughout the universe. Then it crash lands, sounds like Abin Sur, finding Hal Jordan. Both of these origins are inconsistent with the true origins. A Green Lantern was killed then the ring through the link with Mogo searched for a host and found Hal. As for John a Guardian came to Earth found Hal and had him at his side when he gave the ring to John Stewart.
