One of my favourite old dumb jokes in fighting games is when people would ask what you play in CVS2, and you name your characters, and say “in a groove.” People will usually try to clarify, “You mean *A* groove?!” And you can just reply, “Yeah, one of them.”

@@deskcombo You can do level 3’s and follow up with level one’s. Although S groove can do it too, N can do it without being on low life. Deadly Rave characters like Geese and Hibiki have awesome combos in N Groove. N Groove is seriously lacking in unique combos, however. But you get 20 percent damage increase when you activate. Maybe you can show off some crazy damage and kill ratio 1 characters! 😂

Desk out here performing all sorts of sick combos and re-grabs in A-Groove... meanwhile, the best A-Groove combo I could manage to pull off is picking Kyosuke in EO Mode*, holding the right stick up and doing a million aerial Mirage Kicks until either my meter runs out or the enemy got knocked out. * _For anyone unaware, EO ("Easy Operation") Mode let you perform supers and specials just by tilting the right thumbstick in any direction._

And the own players became into that new direction, that is different from SF2 and SFA gameplay (excluding CC's). SF4 was a big help to shape that direction.

CVS2 and most other old Capcom fighting games have a system where the faster speed is achieved by skipping frames on specific intervals. This can and often does cause frame perfect timings to drop with no control from the player. He's playing on the slowest speed because it"s the only one that doesn't skip any frames, so every combo is always possible with sufficient execution.
