A group of Russian soldiers was taking cover in a dugout. After they were located, the Ukrainians sent a drone that killed two of them and wounded a third. As the Russians tried to evacuate their comrades, another drone flew in and attacked.

The frightening amount of munitions used in this video by the Ukrainians brings home how vital it is to keep supplies topped up and at hand. Most of the bullets are wasted shooting randomly at an unseen and well dug in enemy. It's a lottery and a slow grind fighting house to house in rubble and ruins. Sometimes suppressing fire is necessary in order to move forward. As long as they are lying down and not shooting at you, it’s a reasonable method. I would think that they know what they’re doing. Don’t fall into the trap of driving from the backseat, it doesn’t help at all.

@@s4ss.m8 RPG's travel at 295 meters per second or 650+ miles per hour. By the time your eye spots an RPG comming towards you, it impacts. And the speed of sound is about 760 mph, so it's unlikely that you can hear it before impact. Also, the french soldier is the one posting the video. For all these reasons I believe it was them firering the RPG.

I am an Airborne Ranger 1st Lieutenant who had a special operations all volunteer unit I trained and led in Vietnam in I corps along the Laotian border. The shameful waste of ammo here is unbelievable. I taught my men to shoot 2 to 3 round burst up close and semi the rest of the time. Watch how the AKs whether 78.62 or 5.45 jump after the first round. The belt fed bigger 7.62 should be shot on semi so the gunner can aim. See how the recoil jump makes the NEXT SIX TO EIGHT ROUNDS GO OFF TARGET. What a wast of ammo. Who is training them?

I don´t know if it´s a war crime, but it sure as hell is unjustified murder. Dude was unarmed and posed no more threat, I found this on the page of the red cross: "The rules of war clearly set the boundaries of combat. A soldier who has surrendered or who is wounded is outside them. Attacking a combatant who has surrendered is murder and the same also applies to attacking a combatant who has been wounded and has ceased to pose a threat to our forces." Which seems to be the case in this situation, BUT remember that a violation to the rules of war does NOT mean it´s a war crime.

Ok, I can’t stand it. Holding a bouncing machine gun by hand and putting rounds down range, once you have a target sighted in, is a complete waste of ammunition, soldier effort, and a potentially excellent weapon. Even shooting out that window where there’s no stability either (gun wanders at least 20 cm from center throughout the burst). That’s just futile. They’re not firing for suppression because they had identified specific enemy elements visually. Once you have a fix on a target, just pulling the trigger and holding it down while the gun bounces everywhere is not sound. At that point you stabilize and fire. How am I wrong on this? It’s like they have ammunition so plentiful they think it’s possible to just cover an entire field in lead. It’s not. Prove me wrong.

That last video is confusing to this old Infantryman. Either the UAF don't have dedicated LMG guys, individually issued rifles etc. or buddy was hamming this one up for the tic tok value. I've never seen a stack of rifles and MGs against a wall where individuals just picked one up and shot it dry, replacing it with another. Not to mention the fact that he didn't know how to operate the LAW. I'm guessing that the cut in film was where one of his team showed him how to arm it. I'm going to call BS on that one.

(No military experience on my part apart from one year of obligatory service in the Italian Army many moons ago where I shot a grand total of 2 mags of BM-59 and 2 clips of M-1 Garand plus 2 practice hand grenades 🤷‍♂) : I'd confidently rule out a "tik tok minute" simply because Ukrainians are not Kadyrovites clowns. That said, could it be that in that particular moment, UAF guys were generating so much suppressive fire that they needed one or more of them tasked only to fill up mags and rifles locked and loaded? It's also likely that many of those AKs are captured ones so they have more rifles than men that can shoot them. Changing rifle instead of changing mag on the same rifle would allow to sustain a high rate of fire without the risk of overheating. I saw the same thing happening in past winter footage where two UAF guys were defending a dugout against a ruzzian assault: one was inside loading mags and rifles and handing out grenades to the other that was firing and tossing grenades like crazy. Of course this is pure speculation on my part. Btw, I agree the grunt with the GoPro needs extra training on the LAW.😅 I hope they all made it out from that engagement, anyway.
