I want to thank you for your content as a whole. Your channel deserves a better spot on the KZbin algorithm. You’re providing detailed, compassionate, up-to-date information on the disabled experience and you’re not judgmental. I have ASD, ADHD, and Ehlers-Danlos and it seems every waking moment of my 29 years has been in some way dictated by these things. I’ve been bingeing your content and it makes me feel not only seen but stood up for. So thank you!! Please keep doing what you’re doing!

Man losing friends due to disability, constantly feeling like I need to be productive, and saying yes to everyone hits so close to home. This whole video does. You describe everything perfectly 💕

Honestly, every one of your videos is brilliant, informative, right on the mark, and covers the major points.

To the theatre professor who said that to you I would say, that was an ableist attitude. Loved your vlog. And thanks form mentioning the stobes. Although they aren't a trigger for me they trigger people I know.

Watching this because I wasn't feeling productive enough but couldn't take reading more for research, so some of those tips hit hard

Thank you for this video! I need to share this with everybody so I don't need to try to explain ableism.

Not going to lie, writing this script I found myself getting annoyed with having to explain it again... but now I can send the link to anyone and won't have to anymore! (Hopefully) :)

With the strobe light things for like just a post on like social media or something can you just put a flash warning or should you just not post it
@disabled.autistic.lesbian3 жыл бұрын
Great question! If you want to post it, warnings are a great idea cause we can skip it if we want to (I know it's hard to avoid because flashing stuff is super common in TikToks) - If you are making something rather than reposting, ask yourself if your video really needs those flashing lights (it probably doesn't) Hope that's helpful!

I was talking to someone and I told them some names and they immediately got mad at me and blocked me after saying some rude words it even made me not interested to know about the term ableism as I thought it meant just bullying physically disabled people which ofc I don't but this is interesting does ableism also include mental and psychological disorders? like depression, PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar.

yes it does!

@@disabled.autistic.lesbian Oh that's new information thank you for your help and time Also could you guide me on how I can find more content that can help me get more information about what to and not to do and language words that I should avoid using to be able to like be a better person or whatever that means when it comes to the term "ableism"
@disabled.autistic.lesbian2 жыл бұрын
Yeah! I have a whole playlist that is a guide to ableism somewhere on this channel as well as a video specifically about terminology. Hope that helps :)

This hurt hearing this I don't know if this hurt neroutypical people who do unintentionally abuse us, and I try to love these people but I still hate the deed. It hurt because as an autistic person I always believed these thing where normal and that it was my fault for behaving autistic or inferior

I got to stop watching shit like this am so depressed. I can't except the fact that I am a victim it makes me feel powerless. But everything you said I have witnessed with my eyes so I can't not believe it either. This is disturbing. I might be overdramatic but I know I can't be the only disturbed by society lack of understanding.
