• A Guide to BTS Members...
If you're unaware of how this intro came to be...I started making this at the end of 2021 to show my boss and coworkers at Orig Explores. I’ve turned about 5+ people into ARMYs and always wanted an intro to show them that showed both their musical talents and personality. Although there are some amazing ones on KZbin already, I wanted to include some of my favorite moments and bits of information. However, I wanted it to be an introduction video that a majority of ARMYs agree is an equal and accurate representation of all members so after showing the draft to my coworkers, I opened it up for feedback and received thousands of comments. Many people liked it, caught some mistakes, and gave suggestions. Some ARMYs reached out to help organize the feedback and I conducted polls on Twitter to get opinions on certain changes. So even though I edited this myself, I’d like to think it was a team effort with ARMY all over the world. I hope more ARMYs will be created with this video! Thank you for supporting me on this project journey and I hope you enjoyed watching!

Can I just say thank you for not splitting the video. Some reactors have done that and I don't think that's the best way to watch this video. Trust me ARMY don't care how long a video is. Suga does like basketball, he actually attended the Lakers vs. Warriors game the other day. All episodes of Run BTS (their variety show) are on Bangtantv channel. They were just added recently because Vlive was shut down, they now use weverse for livestreams. Actually Jungkook joined Bighit at 13. Korean age is calculated differently than international age. So whenever BTS mention their ages they are actually 1 or 2 years younger. I think they are changing the aging system in South Korea to international age this year, so their won't be any confusion over their ages anymore. If you are interested this is how Korean age is calculated. You are considered 1 when you are born and then everyone turns a year older on January 1st (New Years) not their actual birthday. So take V for example, he was born December 30, 1995 so 2 days later on January 1, 1996 he was already 2 years old by Korean age but he was actually only 2 days old. Think of the leader of the group more like team captain of a sports team. I completely agree about you said about the BLM organization. I truly believe BTS had the best of intentions when they donated that money, but unfortunately we can't control how that money was spent. I also remember before they donated that money there were a lot of people calling out BTS for not speaking out against racism against black people because many feel that BTS have benefited a lot from black culture. But BTS have always acknowledged their influence and love of music from black artists. There is so much negativity and hate in the world and it's exhausting. But when I listen to or watch BTS the world doesn't seem so bad, they just make me a bit happier in a world that can be so depressing sometimes. And it upsets me so much all the hate that is thrown at BTS for no good reason at all. I'm okay if people don't like their music (if they've actually tried to listen to it), but people wishing death on them, calling them racial and homophobic slurs, and just being hateful is taking it too far. BTS want nothing more than to make music, perform, and have a positive impact on those around them. Are they perfect? No. But they do their best and are some of the most humble, hard working, respectful, talented young men I've come across in a long time. It's just refreshing to hear them sing/rap about important and relatable issues and not just the same old songs about getting drunk or high, being promiscuous, being rich etc. If people like those kind of songs that's fine, but personally I just can't relate to them. Anyways thank you for the reaction and I can't wait to see more.

49:54 Actually, when RM was asked to tell a fun fact he didn't think even the most dedicated fans know he answered: “Many people think SUGA is like the grandpa of the group but he acts more like a little kid. Jimin is the opposite, he looks like a baby but inside he is mature and like a grandfather.” So Jimin is the most like being cute baby (the Korean word "aegyo" kind of describe it) of the group but as a person it is different when it comes down to it more seriously... if I make sense. The others often baby him a bit but also said many times he is the one they turn to to talk and both RM and j-hope have said that he often feels older than them even tho they are older.

Jungkook is my bias. He’s their main vocalist. He usually gets the most part cause his technique, his pronunciation, key and the ad-libs he gives too to enhance all vocals is perfect. He is indeed the backbone of their vocals. His voice is layered in all of their songs. You can always hear a little bit of JK’s voice under all of the members because he does the adlibs, the harmonizations. Most of the time Bts songs doesn’t let him show his full potential tbh. Since he can easily slide up and down with his range, they almost always use him like a bridge between tae’s deep tone and jin&jimin’s high tone. Because of that, he doesn’t always gets to show the highlights in his voice in their music. ( like his ability of doing high notes or his rich lower register, or his actual voice tone that has a little bit of rasp). That’s why i can’t wait for his solo album. He has so much to offer in terms of vocals. If u guys want, you can check out his solo songs Dreamers ( the song he recently did for the World Cup. He got invited by FIFA to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony ) Stay Alive, My Time, Euphoria, Still With You. Also his covers Falling, Lost Stars etc. And not only his singing, he works just as hard for his hobbies as well. He is indeed a golden maknae with full of talents. 9:01 Just to let you know and keep in mind their SURNAMES come first and FIRSTNAMES come last, for example KIM NAM-JOON = NAMJOON KIM and so on (RM is his stage name, which essentially stands for ‘REAL ME). *This guide introduces the members in the order they joined BIGHIT / BTS; when they debuted their were ages 20-15 back in June 2013. Since RM is leader, he goes first then oldest to youngest ….* RM (28) - leader, middle member JIN (30) - oldest, he’s currently in military training then onto official position until June 2024 SUGA (29) - 2nd oldest JHOPE (28) - he’s six months older than RM even tho they’re around the same age. JIMIN (27) - three months older than V but around the same age. V (27) JUNGKOOK (25) - youngest 11:08 Believe me, they had their conflicts between each other and company but they found ways as a group to resolve them which is how they got along and became a strong brotherhood over the years. 11:43 That was RM’s previous IQ for the longest time until retesting during exams and what I thought his IQ reached up around 190, it was actually his english compensation test score which I’ll have to go back to rewatch Problematic Man episode from two years ago to see what his actual updated IQ is. Also, he learned english during his adolescent years watching “Friends” which is how he’s so fluent and taught the rest of them and JHOPE shares the responsibility with RM in teaching them english speaking as well. *All the members can speak good amount of english.*

JK was 13 and not 15 when he moved to Seoul to live together with the others as trainee. He was 15, 2 years later when they finally debutted in 2013. In Korea you're 1 years old at your birth and he was born in September. This means that he is often 2 years younger as he says in interviews. Same thing with Kim Taehyung aka V. He was born December 30. He's always 2 years younger as mentioned and the second youngest.

the blm movement and the blm foundation, that is under scrutiny, are not synonymous. we don't know exactly where bts funds went, we just know they donated to the CAUSE. i marched and donated to local organizations of the movement, not to the blm foundation. hopefully bts and army funds went to other organizations as well that supported the cause.

So, Jungkook was actually 14 when he joined the company but he said 15 because korean age system is different from international age system that is known and used worldwide. In korea, you're already 1 year old when you are born. So, in the first day of New year that is, 1st January the baby will turn 2 years old even though internationally, it hasn't even turned 1. So yah, quite confusing but that is hoe korean age system works making them a year older than their actual age in comparison to the international one.

BTS' variety show, Run BTS!, now has all full episodes on KZbin. On this show they do various activities: play games, sports, learn new skills, zombie runs, water activities/sports, etc. It's a very entertaining and hilarious show! Their shows of Bon Voyage (where they visit different countries) and In the Soop (staycations in Korea during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021) are on the Weverse app (at a cost), but there are ARMY who made these two more accessible for reactors.

Thank you for watching this guide. It's really so helpful in getting to know the guys and who they really are. They're special. If you get the chance to watch Run BTS, I think you'll like it. That show is a hoot. Their live streams can be anywhere from 15 minutes to three hours. We've seen them sing, game, cook and be generally chaotic on live. JK does concerts, Tae took a nap, RM continually walks away from his lives, and Jin recently gamed for three hours and it was totally hysterical.

25:44 😂 To let you know, I am sure HOBI has overcome some of those fears over time. 27:04 For JIN, in the beginning he was a acting major student with no musical background at all who was headed to school on the bus when he was approached by BIGHIT rep while getting off the bus because of his pure handsomeness but many don’t know that he actually turned them down a couple times b/c he was more focused on acting but later on he finally decided to go for the audition and was accepted in. HE had to work twice as hard to gain himself a music background and he achieved it.😊 33:28 JUNGKOOK is 25 years old, not 22 Lol 😅 40:58 V turned 27 years old just last month hehe … yes he would have been 28 in korean age but sometime this year Korea is finally getting rid of their korean aging system and going to be using just the global age system like the rest of the world.

Regarding RM, yeah, he suffered himself a lot (the same goes for the other 6), he was forefront and center for all the hate a lot of the times. He even translated for the other 6 and he used to translate hate comments as good comments. Right now, after release of his album Indigo he has 210 songs credited to his name, still he just goes on a hunt to buy pokemon bread and collect all stickers :_) His previous mixtape mono (for free in soundcloud and spotify) reached #1 in 123 countries so far :) His recent album Indigo upon debut, got 87 #1s :)

I know a lot of ARMY are giving so much info about the guys. And it can be overwhelming at times. We got your back. And if you don't mind, I would like to add something. At the beginning of the video, when they show the guys on the streets trying to get people to go to their concert, there is a little more to it. To clarify, BTS had already debuted. But the CEO, Bang Shi Hyuk thought they needed a little more training. So he was able to arrange for the guys to go to L.A. for about 2 or 3 months and train with some ppl that would help them out. The group was headed by someone u may know, Warren G., now keep in mind they filmed the whole thing. The series is called "American Hustle Life." And with Warren G and his group of producers, writers, and others, trained the guys in the art of Hip Hop, even got Coolio (R.I.P.) to help out. At one point during the shoot, Warren wanted them to perform in front of an audience to see how they were coming along. So he booked a small venue in Hollywood. The Troubadour, and for them to have the performance, the guys had to go onto the streets and promote it themselves. Warren wanted them to know what it was like for every aspect of the music business was like. That was the clip you saw, Jungkook, V, and Jimin promoting the performance. But at the time, these 3 were not only the youngest but possibly the shyest. They had also trained for the performance in areas they thought they weren't the strongest in to show that they could do it. V I have to say in my opinion was the standout. He was so happy, he got to train with a gospel choir leader as well as sing a gospel song. The performance turned out great. And they all show turned out to be a great thing for them. And Warren was so impressed with one of them that he asked for him to come back to L.A. himself to record a song with Warren G. himself. The member, RM, and the song, which you can find is called "P.D.D." (Please Don't Die.) If you ever get the chance check out the series. Oh, they also did a video in L.A. for one of their songs, called "Boy in Luv", L.A. Version...keep in mind, having women in the videos in Korea is rarely done. One other thing, VLive was shut down at the end of 2022. HYBE bought them and moved everything over to their system called WeVerse. We do get it here in the states. You can download it and watch every RunBTS show, and any Lives they may still have up. As well as talk to the members...don't get me wrong, about 20,000 other ppl do as well, but there are times when the guys do respond to fans. Oh and your Koala, that is part of a line of characters the guys came up with to represent themselves. The koala you saw, his name is Koya and he represents RM. I'm sorry this post was so long, but I do hope the info helped out, even if it was just a little. Can't wait for ur next reaction.

This video is the best! But I just want to point out that even tho it's "accurate as of May 2022" It's still not updated because with BTS you basically can't have an updated version for a long time. If you want an accurate update of BTS you would have to add another 5 Minutes every other week because they are working so much that they achieve something new every other week. For example as of May till now, they again released multiple solo albums, other projects, won many awards and broke records. Update: as of Dec 2022, BTS hold the record of the 4th most awarded artist in the world with +800 awards. But awards and first places are stolen from them. As of the beginning of this year, they have won over 800+ awards and counting within the past 10 years theyve been a group. 4:15 BTS during their second or third appearance they also becaome the first male Kpop group to perform “Permission To Dance” at the UN (United Nations) after giving their speech. 5:18 BTS did start up as undiscovered talent to where they are now but many still tend to get confused when they see that specific scene in the guide, it was part of their episode 8 finale of mini-series #BTSAmericanHustleLife that was filmed (2014) in LA. Within the scene, they were doing a mission of how to ‘self-promote’ from the sidewalk as well as learned from western known artists while working with coolio and warren g throughout the series before they performed their own mini concert at the end of the show where they did “no more dream” and “we are bulletproof pt2” with a ending encore showing what they learned during the episode.
