It's okay to show emotion, it's too bad people are socialized to feel embarrassed for something so human, especially men and some cultures more than others. The guys are role models not just for being great humans who are not entitled/ arrogant and respect and care/ love so much, but also to show men around the world it's okay to show feelings and be vulnerable and also to be expressive with other men :)

EDM is Electronic Dance Music. Welcome to the world of BTS. They come into your life when you need them. I learned about them in 2020, but didn’t listen to their music until October 2021, the year my dad died and I was 100% working and 100% taking care of my ailing mother. I needed a break from all that and listening to these young men (I am an Silver ARMY of 51 years old) gave me some peace and strength to keep going even after my mother passed away in 2022. I will keep being an ARMY until it is my time to go. Even if they stop making music I will still stay a fan forever. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you for finding them. Among ARMY, there is a saying that BTS finds you when you need them the most in your life. :) They all have different personalities and different talents, and they seem to combine like cogwheels to create the best balance and synergy. :) I guess you already know, the reason why this introduction video is until 2022 is that BTS members have all gone into military service in accordance with South Korean law. After releasing a collaboration single with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, already enlisted about a year ago and is currently serving as an assistant in the Korean Army boot camp under Korean law. And J-Hope joined the military about 8 months ago after releasing his solo album Jack In The Box and collaborating with J.Cole. J-Hope is also serving as an assistant to the Korean Army boot camp in a different unit from Jin. Suga released his solo album, D-Day, and he recently sold out all of his world tours and ended successfully, and he joined the army, September 22. And V and RM joined the army on December 11, and Jimin and Jungkook joined the army together on December 12, just yesterday. RM released his solo album, INDIGO, last December, and another album will be released after joining the army. Jimin released his first solo album, Face, last March, and the title track of the album, Like Crazy, became the first Korean male solo artist to reach the Billboard Hot 100. V released his solo album, Layover, last September, and after joining the army, he is scheduled to collaborate with IU, a Korean female soloist. Jungkook, the youngest member, sang "Dremers" at the opening ceremony of last year's World Cup in Qatar, and his single "Seven" released last July became the second Korean male solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100, and recently released his first solo album, GOLDEN. So they are briefly stopping their eight-year group works and focusing on their solo work. They promised their fan base, ARMY that each of them will grow further through solo projects and come back together in 2025 after completing their military service. Six months from now, on June 12 of the following year, Jin will return from the military, and J-Hope will also return to our side on October 17. Jin and J-Hope, who will be discharged first, will entertain ARMY until the other five members return in June 2025. :) Can I recommend some songs that I was comforted by them? I'd like to introduce the story of the iconic trilogy that led them to a speech to the United Nations General Assembly. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, The Truth Untold, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy. Oh, RM's speech at the UN cannot be missed. He was only 24 years old at the time! Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance, these three songs were released in English to give positive energy to people around the world during the pandemic caused by Covid-19. :) Most of their songs are in Korean, and their music video provides subtitles in several languages, including English. And I highly recommend the music video and live performance of Spring Day, Mic Drop. These two songs are totally different from each other, and you can feel the diversity of their music. The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative. It'll also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :) If you're curious about their personalities, I recommend their variety show, Run BTS. (There is also their song, live performance, and dance practice with the same title as this.) There is a considerable gap between them on stage and usual. They are actually very cute and funny. 🤣 Oh, I recommend Suchwita(meaning time to get drunk with Suga), too. Suchwita is a talk show created by Suga to promote the members' solo albums. Now, it's much larger than his initial intention, so he invited a variety of guests other than the members, though. 🤣 Episodes in which the members appeared are ep.1, 7, 9, 12, 14, 15, 18 and 21. :) You can hear the behind-the-scenes stories of the members' solo work in these videos. He is currently serving in the military, and profitable activities during military service are prohibited under Korean law, so episodes he filmed in advance before joining the military are now being released every few weeks. And I highly recommend BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021 by xCeleste. This video shows why BTS and ARMY have a strong bond and why ARMY is so protective of BTS. Sorry for this long comment. But I hope you enjoy this journey. :)

I guess you didn't read the whole line about RM's titles. All you saw was leader. He's also the main rapper, main songwriter, and a producer. You keep saying that Suga in the main rapper. He is not. The did not just get together. They were formed by the CEO of their small company and they had to audition for trainee positions for BTS. They all came from different parts of Korea. And more than one person commented on what Army stands for and you still keep asking what it stands for. So you don't read all of the comments.😢

ARMY stands for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth. - they are meant to walk alongside BTS in support of the under represented values and ideals that are represented in their music and lyrics. Actually, if BTS ARMY are here watching with you, I guarantee they have all seen this introduction video. We helped Taylor with input on this video, and we've recommended it and seen it numerous times. I think I've seen this video over 50 times. By the way, their award count is now over 900 and counting. And Daesang just means Grand Prize. Yes, J-Hope and Jimin are both Main dancers. You got that right. J-Hope is more street, Hip Hop dancer, and Jimin specialized in contemporary dance, but he also trained in Hip Hop dance. By the way, V-Live was bought out by HYBE and merged with Weverse. So their main platform to stream is Weverse. You should check it out.

I appreciate that you were able to recognize that a leader has many responsibilities that they are not paid extra for. I don't believe RM gets enough recognition about the effort he put into holding the group together, building their foundation, promoting them endlessly even before they debued and supporting each member. He is the glue that held them together and has stated his appreciation for the other members filling in for him when he could not do it all. I don't think many people realize being a leader includes the dutues you mentioned. You had other insightful comments about other members as well. I love them all but I do think RM is under rated. If he had not been a good leader the group would have broke up and we would have never seen them grow into the amazing individual artist that each one of them is today.

Daesang = "Grand Prize". During Asian music award shows, it's basically any award that is followed by "of the Year". So, the top awards for things like "Song of the Year", "Album of the Year", etc. Even better...worse?...than sharing one bedroom? A "dorm" - as they call them - is essentially a single unit in an apartment complex. (Note: Bigger companies would actually buy an entire apartment block/complex as they often recruited 20-30 kids a year, so during any given time, they often had 75-150 each year to watch over.) Think about that, though. A single, one-bedroom, apartment unit. And SEVEN mid-teen to 20 something's (youngest, Jungkook, was 15 and Jin, the oldest, was 20) sharing that amount of space. Shows: Rookie King - 2013 - Their first attempt at a variety show. 8 episodes. American Hustle Life - 2014 - BTS came to L.A. to learn about rap/hip hop culture, through 2 "main" mentors. Coolio and Warren G. They have homework and assignments every day. Hard for many to watch (especially the first episode), but worth it. 8 episodes. Go! BTS - 2014 - Follows them at K-Con. Hard to call it a "series" when there's only ONE episode, but it was an interesting look at that "brief moment" in their lives back then. BTS Gayo - 2015-2017 - These are kind of..."extended" or "additional" episodes of Run BTS. Somewhat like Run BTS, but each episode strictly focuses on music. Karaoke, "fill in the lyrics", and other musically-related games. 15 episodes. Run BTS - 2015-2022 - A true variety show. They play games (board games, card games, VR, computer, sports, and more) as well as learn how to do things (such as pottery, flower arrangement, cooking - both Korean and global dishes)...and much more! Best part...they're often divided into teams and the losing team (or specific member when playing individually) has to do punishments. 166 total episodes so far...I really hope they do more after all are finished with their military service. Bon Voyage - 2016-2019 - Each year, they'd go on vacation. The catch: They have to do EVERYTHING themselves. Checking in at the airports (something their staff has always done for them), finding their way to their hotels (often with cryptic directions), etc. Best part, they get an "allowance" for the trip - groceries to souvenirs to "fun stuff" has to be paid for with that money. They're not allowed to use their own money. 8 episodes per season. In the SOOP - 2020 and 2021 - Note that "soop" (pronounced just like "soup") simply means "forest" in Korean. They rented an AIRbnb for season 1 (8 episodes), then BigHit/HYBE bought and remodeled a HUGE abandoned property for season 2 (5 episodes). In this series, they basically just hang out and try things they rarely - or, in some cases, never - got to do. Basically, it's just 7 brothers having fun - and eating...a LOT - throughout the 13 total episodes. (Please note: If you want to watch Run BTS, Bon Voyage, or In the SOOP, you WILL get hungry watching them eat! Either eat before watching or have drinks and snacks on hand. Maybe both. LOL)

Enjoyed the reaction. You def seem like good people. Thanks for checking out these boys and not being closed minded. They are pretty awesome and versatile so I think you will enjoy the journey if you continue it. You will also find friends through the BTS experience, honestly. It seems strange but then it isn't. Also, I would say I notice time sometimes helps video views grow. The more you put out, it gets hard for people to keep up with everything every day so if you ever need a break... make sure you look after yourself first. When you post and let things sit, sometimes they have time to get more views and not lost in the feed. I don't know if that makes sense, but anyway... enjoyed this. Hope your channel keeps growing and you stay genuine to yourself and do what you want to do and what makes you happy. If you find you are doing things you don't enjoy... life is too short for that. All the best! I look forward to checking out your journey I you share it. I would maybe recommend Born Singer. Can't remember if I recommended it or not. I don't think so. It is set to JCole's Born Sinner. They wrote it in 2013 right after their debut and then performed it about 5 years later. Then last year, JCole gave them permission to include it on their Anthology. I think it is a good place to start. It gives you a good feel for where they come from. You're making new friends here... 😊 I hope we get to see you in the future doing all those things that make a difference in this world and say "We've been supporting him from the very beginning!" BTS inspires many to really work for what they want and follow your dreams, so if you're a dreamer you're welcome to become part of the ARMY. 😊 Fun fact, in South Korea it is very common that artists (idols) receive gifts from their fans on their birthdays or fan signs. BTS used to get many things and very expensive ones (Gucci, Prada, Versace, stars with their names, to own piece of the moon etc). When they became very popular and their company stopped struggling economically they released a statement saying that they would no longer receive gifts from fans and if they sent something it'd be returned, so they only receive letters. When that happened ARMY started investing more on charity on their name (BTS or an specific member) as a way to use the money they would've spent buying gifts on something that helps those in need or the world in general. I'm not saying ARMY didn't donate at all before that but it became a way to celebrate a member's birthday or the group's anniversary by doing something good instead of buying them a Rolex or something...

Ps. Something that would help organize your content is to created playlists, so if I'm mostly interested on BTS related content I can go there directly 😊 That before you have 1000+ videos on here 😅

if you want to watch their show I recommend watching videos with the title like "funny bts moments", " run bts moments" or something like that, those type of videos always gives a well thought out compilation on what the group/show is about

I like how if you don't know something you ask that's show's an enquiring and intelligent mind. This is what EDM is EDM (or electronic dance music) that includes a broad range of percussive electronic music genres originally made for nightclubs, raves, and festivals. It is generally produced for playback by DJs who create seamless selections of tracks, called a DJ mix, by segueing from one recording to another. Hope that helps.

By now most all members do everything. They produce or co produce mostly for their solo songs within BTS albums. Or co produced or produced for their recent solo albums. Suga has been known to write, produce and compose complete solo songs by himself. Suga helps produce or co produce for many group songs . The rappers are always credited as writers since they always write their own verses. But BTS has always been encouraged to learn and grow. They learn from in house company producers and writers, friends in the field and from each other.

The scene where they try to get people to come to their free concert in the US is from the series American Hustle Life. It's still available with English subtitles on YT. Suga's stage name comes from Shooting Guard, his favorite position in basketball and has nothing to do with being sweet. B-Free, the rapper who said RM and Suga are girls (btw, why is that an insult?!), to this day "be free" to have no career. The position of leader is a liaison between the company and the members. It's the leader that gets chewed out for members being late for practice, etc. Suga also created Suchwita, a one-on-one talk show, to give his brothers a platform to promote their solo projects before doing their mandatory military service. It's become so much more. Other people in the entertainment industry have expressed how safe they feel in this environment to speak about their music/careers when invited to guest. There are currently 25 episodes. But the episodes with the members still feel special. V (Kim Taehyung) can act! Check out IU's MV "Love Wins All." He's not a featured artist (doesn't sign), but his acting is just top notch!

All BTS are from South Korea all males have to do Mandatory Military Services for 18mos-2yrs. BTS will be off the scene until 2025 that's when all members will finish military service. All BTS members have enlisted now to do their mandatory military duty. The last 4 members just enlisted 12/11/23 and 12/12/23 including Jungkook. Before enlisting BTS members decide to do solo albums so their fans (Armys) would have music to learn to while in military service. Each member's solo album name and dates: 1) J-Hope 2022* Jack ln The Box 2) Jin* 2022 "ASTRONAUT" single song Will finish solo album after discharge 6/12/2024😮 3) RM* 2022 "INDIGO" 4) Jimin* 2023 "FACE" 5) Suga* 2023 "D-DAY" He also did a solo International tour, he did great name of tour called Day-D, you can see on youtude 6) V* 2023 "LAYOVER" 7) Jungkpok* 2023 "GOLDEN" Each member have different styles and sounds for their solo album you should check it out. All the members worked hard on their solo albums to bring out their on personality. Thank you for your reaction. The power in BTS music is their lyrics, if people don't read the lyrics you never understand BTS. They have meaningful lyrics. You can easily get confused with BTS upbeat production, great dancing but it could be a sad song, learning lesson, tragic lost song. So Army don't mean you stopping to read the lyrics because they go by very fast sometimes, but please stop the video when you're talk so we can hear you clearly. Suga use this name when sing w/ BTS but he use Agust-D name (spelled backwards for Suga) D stand for his hometown Daegu in his solo rap songs because his lyrics are so intense but all true things he went through, he talks about depression, anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, nervous breakdowns, and suicide. All to help his fans get through their tough times in life, to let them know he's there for them for help. BTS always put their life on display, so we can relate to them and find ourselves in each song, so we can learn to love ourselves. BTS group had never separated until they had to do the solo album, each said didn't like the loneliness. * Suga did a podcast called "Suchwita"😮 for each member when they did their solo album he interviewed them, very interesting you should take a look at that as well, he did a few other artist outside of BTS but so personal, they drink alcohol eat and talk😂 I purple you 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

They openly donated to BLM not for clout or political reasons but because their origins were heavily influenced by hip hop and so they educated themselves on Black culture & strive to respect it. I suggest you react to their early songs Hip Hop Phile and Born Singer. They don’t have MVs but there are lyric videos and several live performances available with subtitles.

Hi 👋 Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee) Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows like this one, will be referencing Korean age. 💜Have a great day
