to foreigners who watching this video, don't miss to try shore fishing on islands like Koh Sri Chang, Koh Larn, Koh Samet (and many more) located in the Gulf of Thailand. there's basically the same species of fish as shore fishing on the mainland but much bigger and much easier to catch. welcome to Thailand.

Man I really appreciate the info you’ve shared here. I lived in Thailand some time back but wasn’t into fishing then. Now I’m back in Phuket for a short visit and I’ve been thinking of taking my ultralight setup for a few casts and wasn’t sure where to start but it’s reassuring hearing from you that I don’t need a license to fish here.

Just moved to Thailand and I'm excited to try snakehead fishing. In the US, the kayak fishings pretty big and I'm looking to buy one here from Joy Sports and start some snakehead fishing. Any suggestions for kayak fishing would be highly appreciated and as a foreigner I'll make sure to stay away from the temples, what would be a respectable distance?

any part that has water near the river has the krasoob that should hit small pencil type lures or negotiate with a local boatman to take you fishing for a day. Try to find smaller boats as they are easier to fish from

I live 2 hrs. southeast of Udon near Nikon Nam Um. The body of water is either a long reservoir or river. I enjoy fishing by casting lures and rarely use bait. I was wondering if you can recommend any lures that may help me to catch fish in this area. I have just started fishing here. There does seem to be a rocky dam area as well.Thanks, Dave

Thanks for the great input. Im due to head to rawai area in phuket. I usually go shore jigging in croatia. I never tried in thailand. Do you have any recommendations on what gear to use? Medium and heavy setup rods are in my arsenal. Maybe we can have a little chat ? 😅

I've never gone shore jigging in phuket but I'm guessing it should be the same everywhere. Find a spot and start blasting all your lures lol thats how I fish.

I have been told In Thai law, you cannot fish in the public river, pond and others except the fisherman area. You will go to a private fishing pond , it has around Bangkok. You can hide to do it but you will pay a fine about 10,000 THB . Is this True?
