I always love to mix mine too and I feel like SEQ is next level. Makes the hair look expensive and you can customize the toner for each client so they feel personalized and special! 🎉

Love this video! But I had heard from a Redken artist that in order to get the chemicals off of the hair completely that shades should still be washed off with a gentle shampoo. It doesn't "clean the hair" with what you call it's "shampoo agent". It just has a sulfate in it that helps the spreadability & consistency of wet hair application, but when only rinsed off the chemicals still sit on the hair which can cause damage. I'm not saying you are wrong by any means, just letting you know that I found some conflicting information.

Oh, PS: I would love to know your thoughts when it comes to Igora Vibrance (and/or Royal) line, V Shades EQ. For me, they are def more like "wax paper" and create a fuller, bolder "COLOR",, V (again, for me), Redken seems to be more sheer, like "saran wrap" that does not seem to stick for as long.

I currently use Joico Lumishine for permanent and demi permanent/toners! I watched one of your older videos about that color and it was so helpful when I first started using this line. 😊 I have thought about switching to Redken shades eq for toners but still undecided.
@banditausa2 жыл бұрын
I use both Joico and Redken Sq.. I feel Joico has better coverage( for those clients with gray or stubborn hair). I like Redken as a quicktone, but to me it did not work as well as Joico for covarage. But I think Jessi will have more in depth info covering this. She is awesome!!!

What colour would you recommend for a tap on the roots if you are grey?

@@Spoke76 The front is 95% grey the back about 80%
@66blonde662 жыл бұрын
@@Spoke76 thank you for your response. My natural colour is a level 5. However, I went grey at a very young age. I started at 18 with a small amount of highlights at the front to disguise the grey. Now I’m a level 9 all over with lighter end. When I use 9.00 tint on my roots with 20 vol it darkens my hair to look like a level 7 or 8? So the only way to go lighter and cover my grey is tint first then followed by foils and I can’t do my own foiling. I touch up my grey every second week. The only time I was really happy with my hair was when a hairdresser did a scalp bleach then toned my hair. It was so light the greys would blend in and gave me a few more weeks without having to touch up my roots. Any advice would help.

@@Spoke76 The dedicated developer for Shades EQ Gloss is approximately 7 volume. I agree SEQ is not the solution for covering 80-95% grey. That said, why include 5 volume in your developer recommendations to Aida Rosa? Just curious.

What toner did you use on your hair? I’ve been toning mine with 9v and it’s getting to cool or sitting to long and I like the tone of yours?
@onerationallady2661 Жыл бұрын
I’m not a professional but I would mix the v with another tone. Like a 9 or 10N which has a tan background. 9V has no background color. Or you could add a GI or beige shade?

It’s obviously none of my business but are you going to address the mass exodus of your education staff? I’ve seen some passive-aggressive and rather unkind Instagram posts from a few of your former staff, which btw all seem to have congregated to a single new salon. You don’t owe your viewers an explanation but I’m certain many are curious on what happened there. Sending you good vibes either way!
