A very nice video, thank you. Somewhere I read shake each cartridge 15 times. My P900 now is completely missing printing the MK ink. I replaced all my cartridges, since it was pretty much time (and I think the MK ran out, but the ink counter is just a counter, it really don't know how much ink is or isn't in the cartridge). I've done power cleaning and regular cleaning, to no avail.

As silly as it sounds, check that the new MK cartridge is installed correctly, including the tape over the head hasn't been left on. The other thing to do is do a nossle check, make sure it isn;t blocked.

@@sambarton_photo Ah, what tape over the head? In no instructions (nor in this video, or did I miss it) do I see any mention of tape over the head. In other inkjet printers I have, there is tape over breather holes, and some over the heads, yes. But, on these printer cartridges, is there supposed to be tape over the new cartridges? I will check when I get back to my office. Thanks for the suggestion...

@ I’ve not experienced tape on original Epson cartridges, but something is blocking your ink, so perhaps it’s not one of theirs? It’s that, or the print head is blocked/needs clearing.

@sambarton_photo Or electrical... Supposedly original Epson cartridges.

Hi there, do you happen to know how long a set of ink lasts on average? for example, how many 17" x 25" (approx 2:3 aspect ratio) photo prints can you make? I'm trying to see how cost effective it is for my disability art program

Honestly, this is quite a difficult question to answer as it really depends on the image, it's pixel density, the colours and of course the paper type you are using. The P900 uses larger ink cartidges than the P700 so you pay a bit more per cartidge, but it's much more cost effective per print. If you are doing that type of calculation, you also want to factor in some wastage, prints that were not 100% perfect at the first attempt. You will also find that you don't run out of all of the inks at once. This helpful review claims to have achived 100 prints before needing to replace one of the cartidges and then 180 prints before the next two blacks needed to be replaced. Hope this helps: printerville.net/2021/05/07/review-epson-surecolor-p900-with-p700-notes/
