Little but important update: Label SJ is no more. Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun left SM but are still in Super Junior. D&E have their own company (ODE) and Kyuhyun is with Antenna. Ryeowook got married May this year (guess he honored the rock paper scissors bet). Sungmin and his wife had a baby boy a couple of months ago.

just a clarification for others: the 3 left sm as individual artists but are still signed there as suju members (cause i've seen misunderstandings where people compared them to other former sm artists who left both and cannot join certain sm activities unlike them) and yeah label sj which was a sublabel was absorbed into center 5 after sm made these new centers/sublabels +as kyuhyun left he no longer lives in the dorrm haha

I discovered suju due to their massive accident ( which was omg so depressing) but thankfully they are all well now. You need to watch the interviews based on that, I felt my tears drip down. That made me appreciate their funny moments even more

Current KZbin status: All members have personal channels. Leeteuk- cycles through concepts; he's done cooking shows, car talks, golf, but currently has a talk series about the history of kpop, and one where he ranks things. He uses it regularly to go live while he cooks and eats dinner both at home and on tour. Heechul -accidentally deleted his old personal account and doesn't really use the new one; had a youtube show called Alcohol Street Fighter where he got drunk with celebrity guests, and is currently doing a talk/home shopping show on the ChopChop channel Yesung "mine" - now has his own youtube channel called Yessay where he takes us along on artist and cultural excursions around Korea. Very professionally made and interesting. He is collaborating with the K-Heritage Channel and has done similar content for them asmr style. Shindong- Shindongdengdong tech channel where he tries out and assesses all sorts of gadgets from drones to the latest editing software, with occasional group bts and updates since his production company Walawala does a lot of Suju content Siwon- has a lot of religious content, some Unicef related things, and occasional group content D&E - individual channels are pretty much for the fans with concert vlogs and the occasional live. They have D&Es official channel for ODE official mvs, bts, ect. They also have a talkshow channel called Dongbaek (Hey, come here) where they interview artists. Ryeowook hosted a similar one on the Heyday channel. Between the two, you may find episodes with artists you follow. Ryeowook- mostly active during touring or when doing musicals and focused on vlogging bts of their travels for fans, cover songs and occasional lives of him singing in his car Kyuhyun- little bit of everything over the years: song covers, gaming lives, restaurant tours, bts of group activities, currently leaning into cooking again. Antenna lets him post his MVs there as well (which is great because otherwise I would miss so much) I probably missed a lot, but the official Super Junior channel is probably going to keep you occupied for now anyway. 💙

Fun fact: "I'm confident" was one of the first phrases of korean I learnt. All because of SuJu.😄 Donghae IS a problem. He is talented, great vocals, incredible dancer, writes amazing songs, is way too good looking, and somewhat of an awkward bean. I love him so much.

Im glad that every time i come across your channel you're reacting to Super Junior and discovering their talent and distinct personalities and character that every ELF loves. They're so different and amazing and there's never a dull moment with them in reality shows, in variety shows, even in shows they're on, or concerts. Their onstage presence is palpable and they're compelling to watch. even moments when they're non-performing is so real and genuine. We love these boys.

Although many find it hard to accept, Suju is not only the definition of a good idol but also of an ARTIST. There is nothing they do not do and even better that they do it well; from CEOs of their own companies, designers, writers, directors of shows or music videos, singer-songwriters, ambassadors, entertainers, hosts, uff and yet they still remain close to their people and humble (or so say the people who work with them).

58:43 Time is especially an illusion while watching Super Junior. 90 minutes of content will take you 2 hours to watch because you have to keep rewinding to keep up with the chaos, but somehow it will only feel like 30 minutes. Actually a bit of a problem sometimes, but I'm so jealous you guys get to experience everything for the first time. 19 years worth of almost continuous content to binge. 😂 Enjoy every moment, but be warned that side effects of prolonged exposure to Suju include facial (and occasional abdominal) soreness and unforeseen mood swings. 💙

Little comments while watching~ 5:29 no more Label SJ since 2023, if I remember correctly, since they established the Center system. they're now part of Center 5 with EXO and Riize. Sj Returns now have technically 5 seasons, the 5th season, SJ Returns 3.0 is available here on YT on their channel. 8:35 someone already said this but Wooki won the game here and he's now married! 😂 not within the 3 years though. he only got married June this year. 9:24 unfortunately, they don't do the stripping much anymore. I hope I was a fan back then. I didn't see the stripping!! 😂 10:37 they also don't do this anymore. maybe because they're older and it's a hassle to change clothes. but I also wish I was a fan back then and witnessed this. 10:51 SPY!! they don't like this song because the choreography is kind of complicated with the current line up. but good news!! they performed this again on tour this year and it was AMAZING!! so lucky to have seen it live!! 29:38 he's now delved into the trot genre and welcomed his first baby this year 🎉 40:43 he's come back to acting in 2023!! he did 2 dramas, Oh! Youngshim and Between Him and Her. 42:06 yes. that's why sometimes when they list them by age, he's often listed after Donghae. 45:46 I forgot why they call him horse. but there's this story that when they started calling him horse, he cried and asked Leeteuk why they would call him that. 😂 the Korean for horse is Mal, that's why his nickname is MaSi = Mal + Siwon. (anyone, please correct me if any of this is wrong) 48:28 Wookie fun fact: he has perfect pitch! 54:09 he's considered as the best male vocalist in kpop because of his wide range and techniques. 54:23 since leaving SM in 2023, he also left the dorm. 55:18 he's one of the best starcraft players in kpop 😄 we really need a new suju guide. so much has happened already.

This guide was so good! I'm a long time ELF but I've found myself going 'omg I forgot about that' throughout the whole video 😂 so much history! Ryeowook is a hard one to pronounce - you need to blend the R and the Y together like RIO but less emphasis on the i - "RiO-ook"

Drop the "e"-sound completely. It's 려욱 (R-yo-u-k) with no "e"-sound. The "e" shall only indicate a short "o"-sound instead of a stretched one (not ㅛ with a long "o"-sound). Same in 서울 Seoul, which is pronounced like soul and the "e" is not to be pronounced, but is only there to differenzierte between the short "o" ㅓ(like in rofl) and the long "o" ㅗ (like in over).

"eo" should sound like "awe" in awesome. So, to properly pronounce Ryeowook's name, you'll need to say ree-awe-ooh-k quickly...

Update: Yesung now has a KZbin channel: Yessay (this name was coined by Kyuhyun which when translated is Yes-sex) He is also Korean Heritage ambassador and make videos in collaboration of the Korean Tourism. Kyuhyun has one of the highest IQs in the idol world. After the accident in 2007, Kyuhyun was in a coma for months. Kyuhyun doesnt live in the dorm after he transferred to Antenna agency. They have other talented members: Hangeng Kibum Kangin Zhoumi Henry Lau (he plays various instruments but is known for playing the violin and is based in the U.S. now and is an artist there)

AFTR here's an easier way to remember or pronounce their names ;) Leetuek (Dennis), Heechul (Casey), Yesung (Jerome), Shindong (Matthew), Eunhyuk (Spencer), Donghae (Aiden Sp?), Siwon (David Joseph), Ryeowook (Nathan), and last but not least Kyuhyun (Marcus) you can always call them by their English names. I love how almost all of them fit their English names perfectly, except for Yesung XD

One thing I hate that it didn't include, which can be controversial, is that Siwon is a Christian. The only reason I think it should have been included is because he is very open about it. He posts stuff on his instagram and youtube channel with bible verses and just talking about God. Donghae is also a Christian but not as open about it as Siwon is.
