You could also do clothes. I always end up with over 10,000 cloth, and clothes made by high level crafters can sell in the thousands, making masterwork dusters is an amazing way to make loads of cash, bonus money if you make them out of an expensive leather. This comment is a sacrifice for the algorithm god, he who feasts upon the metrics of engagement.

Also making cloths is an exellent way to train crafting. I usually plant a shitload of cotton and replace it with devilstrand later in the game.

@@shoelessbandit1581 i usually have a huge stockpile zone outside to get rid of crap like useless leathers n stuff, but yeah i wipe out all wildelife on a regular basis... well meat meat meat, lavish meals are expensive.

@@cedricwilson1593 I think statwise plain leather is better than cotton and you can instantly drain all the silver from bulk goods traders with basically zero work. Really the only reason I grow cotton is for poker and pool tables

I always tamed horses for pack animals. But once you have enough they do sell pretty well. Although I'm guessing there are animals that are more profitable. Eventually I get to a point that I have too many horses and have to but more that I normally would just to sell off the horses. (Also most traders accept horses, other animals not so much) You also missed that the combat dealer will trade animals that can be used for combat. (eg Wargs)

Thrumbos sell damn good. But as i keep them mostly around for the fur i just sell the horns. By the time the colonists watch tv in legendary thrumbo fur armchairs, you'll have enough silver for sure.

You get 10% more of what is shown in the info window (before the other values come into play if course). In other words: If you can affort to feed a dedicated artist, you should let him work full time. Silver and jade even get more Worth if you make a statue of it.

The wide variety of booze, coffee, and tea available from vanilla expanded + hospitality makes for a nice passive background income in addition to all the random loot. Set up a nice little bar/coffee shop guests can roll through to buy chocolate, smokeleaf joints, gormet desserts, high quality wine, soda, beer, gin, tequila, cider, whiskey, vodka, mead, and likw 2 dozen varieties of tea and coffee. And I built them I glitzy casino with hotel rooms to stay in. Beds and meals are free. We make it up on the booze.

Probably the best tools in rimworld is research transport pod. it super useful when you need to make friends, the more friendly you are with faction the more caverns they send you also help get rid useless stuff. the only problem I have with it components it needs. at first glance it doesn't look like a lot but be careful when using them.

I think theres a mod for re-usable transport pods via a building that "catches" them. The component cost really sucks early on, especially sending your guys back to the colony and having to bring components and steel with you.

I have never actually done the organ harvesting colony for silver thing, just doesnt feel right. however with death rattle and a fellow colonist on deaths door that was missing an organ, I put them in a sleep casket to hold off the issue, and took a prisoner from the raid that injuryed the pawn.....and promptly traded who would die, and my pawn had a new organ.....but people got upset in the colony. I was like that dam pirate tried murdering us. At least he managed to save someone his buddies hurt.

something i learned from kleaper: if a slaver shows up and they have a slave you want thats too expensive, just injure the slave. you'll lose relations, but the slave's cost will drop, and after you buy them you can just tend to them and it'll be fine.

I just find vanilla factions far too poor to make a decent profit out of, the same with orbital traders to be honest which is why I prefer to add factions and more orbital traders into the games who have more cash to splash.

For the organ trade, you can eliminate the need to carve up prisoners by running the Questionable Ethics Extended mod, which let's you use vats to grow cloned organ as long as you've got the food supplies to grind down into the precursor materials and the power to run the vats' life support functions. There's also the lemolines mod, which adds humanoid pawns that have a permanent health modifier called soulfire, which will cause them to regrow any body part that removed or destroyed so long as they aren't instantly killed by the part's removal, either from blood loss or general loss of function. And finally, the cryogenesis mod adds cryptosleep caskets that will let you burn uranium to reverse the aging process on any living thing shoved into them and regenerate any injuries they might have.

Hunt/farm animals for meat and make dusters with the excess leather and sell them, helps train your crafters and eventually the growing pile of clothes and silver overtakes your storage. Couple with drug production (flake is one of the best) and you'll clear the silver and stock of all the traders you meet. You wanna really cheese it up? Turn manhunter rot chances down and reap the benefits of Randy's endless supply of manhunting Megasloths.

Haven't played rimworld in a while due to how having nice floors makes raids really annoying any tips/info revolving that? If you haven't done so already ^^

I mean, the easiest fix is to just play on a lower difficulty. Alternatively i do believe there is a setting to make wealth independent from difficulty. And of course there are mods to help, or eliminate wealth management. If you want to actually deal with the issue rather then going around it just look up some videos on wealth management. A simple tip: this isnt skyrim. If you arent using that item within the next 3 months you're probably better off just getting rid of it.
