I know this is an old video, but that is no joke on the "order extra statement," shipping for most watching this is not an issue; but living in Alaska, if you forget or "cut it close and come up short" the additional shipping cost would have paid for 4-5 fittings or a couple sticks of hard tubing. I spent hours looking at the case and laying it out and now that everything has arrived it is time to begin. Thanks Jay...I've spent 3 weeks watching your videos and although I have built air-cooled up until this point, it's time for my hand at liquid.

Man, you have come through almost every step of the way with every question I've had thus so far with building my first (modern/water cooled) PC! I kinda got the gist that the two main were the barbed and the compression, and that the compression was better designed to be used on its own, but had no clue what the hell the rest of the shapes and other random pieces were for until this video. THANK YOU!

At 5:25 the soft-tubing 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD can also be written as 13mm ID/19mm OD for those in Metric countries (realistically 1/2" is 12.7mm, hence why it's rounded UP to 13mm). In the same vein, the 3/8" x 5/8" soft tube/fittings will be 10mm/16mm (since 1/4" is rounded to about 6mm). And one thing I learnt from building my first watercooling system loop in Beast Rig - remember to add a way to drain the damn thing. As it is, if I want to add a draining method now, I'd have to clean out the floor of the case (mainly remove the PSU and cables), then open one of the fittings of the GPU block (which is the lowest point) to drain the loop before I can add a proper way to drain it. >.>

I got a EK Kit ,and now i know what to work of from that as it uses what ever it uses and for me it's G(3/4)-10/13. that's it that's all i need to know. the kit was amazing to do use and i got a drain for it but need extra fittings that are easy to get. just make sure to tighten it down by hand (fingers) till you can't no more then you are golden ,never use a tool to tighten . Tho i can be wrong as im just starting out my self and for me FT job it worked out great time wise. just also with kits make sure not to get the 1 that is cheapest or most expensive as they may not fit this or that Rads are a thing to know as they can be very big to like not fit in you're case what so ever. CPU Blocks mine is universal make sure that fits you're socket type. make sure there is room for the pump also the res can fit in. My Pump is higher then the res i will change this but it is possible to do it that way as for me my rad is on Top of the case allowing me to Fill the loop from a available port on top of the Rad (it had 2) .Mehh my thoughts. im still learning it all my self but fittings was the easy part for me as i got the kit and did not have to worry about any thing as ,now all i have to do is mach up the fittings to what i have now easy done ,next part for me is get what ever more Fittings more more more lol.

I want to watercool my new PC build and after doing some research I heard that homebrew kits are far more superior than any market plug-n-play kits. Question 1: Can you confirm if homebrew watercool for CPU and GPU are indeed better? Maybe say your opinion on pros and cons Question 2: Can you make a step-by-step guide on setting up a homebrew kit that has glass tubes along with how you clean before installing, etc? Like, a guide to cover every step for a homebrew kit that cools both GPU and CPU. Many thanks! Keep it up!

How to drain a custom loop build without the draining valve? Im in trouble here, any tips? *****
@ThePhantomNetwork9 жыл бұрын
ODIO POWER lay your PC on it's side get a funnel clamp a soft tube to the bottom and a roll of paper towels crack your system at the lowest point, when it stops leaking in the bucket screw in a soft tubing setup like he showed you above, stand your rig back upright and unscrew a fitting at its highest point so the system can drain then you can put your valve in at the lowest point and proceed to flush your rig with a couple of gallons of distilled water, then you can refill with new coolant don't use the old it breaks down and can clog a system
@TheChurchofCacti9 жыл бұрын
ODIO POWER Another trick if you have a EK waterblock on your GPU is to put a bucket underneath one of the plugged GPU ports, tilt your case, and unscrew the plug. This will allow you to at least get some of the water out and from there you should be able to remove a tube, drain, remove another tube, drain, and so on. Make sure to double check that there is no water left in the tubes your removing though and always think twice. Once you get it all drained install a drain port of some sort. I have a Alphacool 120mm rad on the bottom of my case that is a perfect drain port. It has two front facing plugs that I simply need to remove for easy draining. Plus it's another 120mm of cooling =)

A DDC is 500LPH and 7 to 20FT head and a lil louder and runs a lil hot has a 50,000MTBF A new design XSPC -X4 Pump is 600LPH and 3M head and the cheapest, at 35.00 bare. No MTBF spec. The new Enermax pump is 900LPH and 5.2M head 100,000 MTBF and the 2nd least expensive. Guess what I bought?

Granted this is about water cooling, but to put it into perspective, 1mm can be the difference between cool looking jewelry that fits and blowing your ear out and wrecking your ears lol i’m glad that something stupid that I did to my body translates to this and understand conversations between measurement systems.
