I was there in '78-'79. In this video I'm seeing the rec hall, the new Bain hall (which was the old Bain hall), the A company cottages, the front lawn where I tried out for the drill team and didn't make it. All these years later I do miss it

I attended ANA back in 1976. It was a blast. I was wondering if they still have the annual clashes against the kids from Carlsbad High? The year I was there, the kids from Carlsbad attacked our campus and used to hassle us when we would venture into town. It really is an interesting experience to attend a military academy like ANA. I went from practically failing grades in every subject to being on the honor roll. The teachers were great and the class sizes small.

REDDRONE in the year of 2006-2010 their was many "towny fights" when venturing out in town. didn't end up so well for Carlsbad kids for the most part.

Can any alumni tell me if many students get accepted into the military colleges? West point, Air Force, Navy, etc. These students didn't really mention drill in the day in the life discussion. Or JROTC. I was looking into Valley Forge Military Academy in PA, that one seems more military focused.

Mr. Contreras, If I may answer that question, YES they do. If you are a foreign student, you´ll need a "Student Visa". You must apply yourself diligently. Study extra hours if you need it. Be persistent. Dont allow minor discomforts or critisism to set you back or demoralize you. Have spirit and courage. Contact the academy as they will guide you thru the process and better inform you. Worst school ever I've gone here don't go here these kids are faking and yes they did not have a choice to participate in this video DONT COME HERE READ YELP REVIEWS. Kids here are emotionally hurt and depressed the only good part is the friendships you make with other kids no disrespect to general bartell but much disrespect for colonel ward.
