I always thought A-ha were just a one hit wonder. But after seeing this interview - and how all the band members handled themselves - I will definitely explore their albums in-depth now. A-ha came across as genuine and authentic who make music for the right reason and sensibilities.

They were/are far from that, still together (off and on a couple times) after over 30 years, playing to huge stadiums.

where u from ? usa or europe ? they had many hits in the rest of the world outside usa so only in usa they are known for "take on me". But even in usa they actually had 2 hits bcoz the 2nd single "the sun always shines on tv" was a top 20 song so this makes them not a 1 hit wonder in usa 🎃. A-ha are true "musicians" that barely has bad songs on each their albums. Even the "bad" songs on an album are listenable. Besides they write all their songs themselves with a few songs co-written with someone else. Just listen to their album "east of the sun and west of the moon" or the album "memorial beach" for example and u can hear that it's totally different sounding (darker) than their previous album "stay on these roads" . "...but fairly protective of your music..." The interviewer states. Listening to Magne over the hassle, he says "yeah, but your questions are provocative." And usually when being provoked you will naturally get defensive. Mags was calling him out because, yes, the interviewer was trying to provoke them to start shit for the sake of TV. But we shouldn't be mad, because we should educate the ignorant, though it's a nice thought to believe that someone took this fool out back and gave him a little 'education' in a sense.

Touchy is one song, and one only. It was probably the most recent single when the interview was done. Unless, of course, the host really wanted to make fun of them. Also remember that they had the teenage boppers listening to their music too, and as the professional musicians they are, they recognize all their fans, including the teenage boppers. As they say in the first part of the interview, they don't want to be snobbish. The other singles from their third album are "Stay on these roads", "The blood that moves the body", "You are the one" and "There's never a forever thing". Go listen to them.

The interviewer is a rude and incompetent idiot with no business having that job title at all. I sincerely and honestly hope that he lost his job after this, and is now flipping burgers in some fast food joint, maybe more suitable to his skills.
