Thanks for the honest review. I've been eyeing this up for a year or so and I'm zeroing in on a purchase this spring.

its def a nice bike. good range and speed with the 41ah. i just wish the company was better and wasnt filled with toxic leaders. honestly if i could tell you to look elsewhere i would but not many other bikes are as good out the box until you mod them up

you could always notice from their ads of the bike going offroad that the rear suspension never compressed to take the hits its really stiff. seems like they have two 500lb shocks on there when it should be 2 250 lb load shocks. maybe your controller needs to by synced with your hub motor again, if the sine waves are out of sync the controller and wheel can make strange noises sometimes.

Watch out for carpal tunnel with the thumb throttles. Having a job that requires the thumb often (typing), I began to feel it's overuse and need a twist throttle

You're obviously riding this through a lot of commute traffic and you said that drivers treat you more like a motorcycle than a scooter (those weren't your words. I'm paraphrasing). But the concern I would have riding this in the city is the lack of motor noise. Everything else is great, but when on a bike, I prefer to have that element of noise that's loud enough to alert car drivers, given that they can often be on a phone call, have the stereo up, etc. As a guy with a truck, there have been times when I barely noticed a quiet, filtering bike coming up really quick between me and another car and I'm always checking my 3 - 6. Rarely, but a couple of times, I've also nearly changed lanes into a bike when somehow one gets into the blind spot as he's coasting at a fast speed. It surprises me that I sometimes miss them but it happens. With a motorcycle, the better riders flick the throttle when filtering to keep drivers on their toes. But you can't do that on these ebikes just yet.Just be safe out there.

Oh I’m fully aware ! We as E riders need to take responsibility for the way we ride and approach traffic situations. I know I can get a bit much SOMETIMES but for the better half of my experience on the roads with other cars I am keeping other drivers in mind and do my best not to sneak up on them more over when there’s increased opportunities for error. I use my driving Knowledge the best to my ability and to be honest 9/10 it helps me anticipate what a driver will do which allows me to keep us both safe. Accidents happen & i’d be lying if I said an accident isn’t in my future but as long as I maintain respect on the roads with the other drivers and we do our part to minimize error then all we can do is enjoy the ride. I appreciate your comment my dude !

hey so its a toss up between the nami e burn e scooter and the onyx for me. I live in Midtown and had some spills on some 8 inch e scooter, deciding that in order to ride I need bigger tires but ngl still kinda scared to get the nami with all the pot holes. How much safer is the onyx opposed to a e scooter. Do pot holes and nyc bumps affect you. and can you drive this plus 40 and not worry about crashing because of road conditions. I wont go more than 30 unless I know the rode but just asking thanks!
@lucklessleenyc2 жыл бұрын
so the bikes are WORLDS safer than scooters, thats not even a debate. if i were you id just go with the onyx but dont buy directly from them ( i have my reasons for this ) if you can find third parties that sell them and or LAST mile if thats and option for you. riding fast in the rain is always odd on anything electric so its nothing id say to do, i just posted a video of a wipe out i had doing 30 in the rain. but its def weather resistant. i think its hands down FAR better than the nami. and the suspension handles NYC terrain like a champ so youll be fine where ever!

@@lucklessleenyc i saw that spill man prayers for your recovery friend. And last mile will buy there! yeah onyx seems great man, im sure you get the adreline rush as you would going 40 on the nami

did you get the bike registered? how do cops react to the bike? i want to get a onyx or sur ron in the distant future but i worry about cops. i love these grey area loophole "ebikes" but theyre still in that grey area in the end of the day
@lucklessleenyc2 жыл бұрын
Onyx is definitely less concerning then the surRon however as long as you aren’t breaking the rules of the road in a very obvious way in front of the cops then you’ll be left alone for the most part. I’ve loop hole in front of cops countless times and normally I just get cops complimenting the bike. I know a few that have one actually. Don’t be a maniac on the bike and youll blend in. People aren’t always gonna listen to this fact so imo it’s just a matter of time until all electric devices face some sort of major set back but until then weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Lol

I do not have it registered though. Defeats the purpose in my opinion
