Love your videos, you really are an "Elmer" and great promoter for SHF operation Mr. Hayden. I'm decades older but your skills and experience are far more than mine and essential for my plans to some day work SHF and EME. Thank you for the service!

Thanks Craig, appreciate your kind words. I still have yet much to learn, but hopefully you all can join me on the journey as I do!

I believe I purchased mine from here: www.jaycar.com.au/2-unit-pro-grade-19inch-rack-style-equipment-enclosure/p/HB5125 But you should be able to search for 2RU or 2 rack unit enclosure and find a local supplier close to you.

What about listening to sat Comms ect on 13 meters is there a lot of activity ? I'm not even sure what aerials I would use for 2-3 GHz there's not much information online that I can find.

You could listen to e’hails but it’s not in our footprint here
@neilcampbell48333 жыл бұрын
@@HamRadioDX ok thanks so there's probably no point in getting a scanner with the 2-3 GHz range if I can't pick up many sats ect. There is a big list out there but I'd probably need decoding equipment and probably a radio signal dish ect .

hi Hayden, can you detail the mods (snow flacking) you did to the Spectrian amplifier to tune it to 2.4GHz? I have a similar one and would like to use it for 2.4 GHz DATV via AMSAT-DL/QARS QO-100 (which unfortunately does not cover VK...sorry!) . best 73 de i2NDT Claudio

Hi Claudio, I documented my snow flaking at this forum site here. You should be able to view this without a login - vklogger.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=13841&start=20#p63101 73 Hayden
