My father was a projectionist in a theatre in Kapuskasing,he brought me in to watch the movie A Hard Days Night ,I was 10 years old.after watching it over 30 times, I knew every word of every song.The immense joy the Beatles brought to me was carried right through to Abbey Road.

"From Me To You" was the first Beatle song I heard. By October, 1963, I knew something was going on with this British band. Jack Paar showed a clip in January. The Beatles were going wild! Girls were screaming and throwing jelly babies! It was their sound! It was their hair! I started growing my hair that night! The Beatles revived the rock n roll of the 1950s. John Lennon sang Chuck Berry. Paul McCartney sang Little Richard. They took it to the next level. They wrote their own songs. When my cousin and I saw A Hard Days Night, the theater was packed with young girls. They screamed through the whole movie! This was Beatlemania, and there would never be anything like it again! "You Can't Do That" was cut from the film, Lennon's jealousy apparently too much for a young audience. The Beatles virtually invented the LP, and each was a progression with Lennon leading the way. After the breakup, Lennon joined the peace movement. He was gunned down in New York City on December 8, 1980, by a deranged fan. He had finished his first record in 5 years, an album showing his domestic side.

Right! I had them first as a video cassette and now I as DVDs. You can see them again in some years - and love it anew!
