It looks like darling little Huey might be another thumbsucker. He's such a beautiful and dainty little boy. I hope Nataly can protect him from the baby snatchers. I wouldn't be trusting any of those spayed females near him, not even Haggy. Just look at what Dorothy did to both of Dorty's infant boys. It was nothing short of a miracle that her daughter survived.

True words, Mr. AM! It seems that there is needed more comprehension of monkey dynamics on the part of the people coming to feed and on the part of the authorities. Everyone can do what he likes - on the back of the monkeys. That's not supportive. The monkeys have to deal with all the mess people are causing.

They have changed so much since the lock down and how much food they get now . I hope they start slowing down the feeding so things return to normal. They all seem so fluffy now. They beg so much and they used to not be as bad as they are. Even how they wean seems so different now. It can’t be good to keep feeding them this much and they rely on it then what if most just quit. I hope the feeders that come know it will have to be a slow process. The monkey can get really mean if not. That would be horrible . The feeders can always come just maybe not give out so much so they start foraging more. We barley see them forage . They used to a lot while waiting for goodies . Now they just sit and scream . :( I just can’t believe how lazy they have became . I would rather not watch them anymore if they quit coming and I would know they are living off the land and way healthier than they are now . Breeding seems to come faster and it seems like the young ones are getting pregnant earlier. Them getting so much food just changes almost everything about them . The videos 4 years ago are so different from the ones now .

Hi AM I do understand your concern and feel just as sorry as you. Hopefully the feeders can meet and find a solution to the feedingproblem. It all worked out during the lock-down so it should be able to do so again at least for helping all the monkeys. 🐵❤

AM is a rare instance. Part of the problem is US. our appetite for watching monkeys created a cottage-industry of filming monkeys. Monkey movies did exist before the lockdown, but KZbinrs found that throwing food down brought the monkeys to them, versus having to spend hours hiking to locate and film a small family of monkeys. These mega-groups formed and grew exponentially because unlimited food. The natural population limit imposed by nature was removed. Now they are culling monkeys in many Asian countries. Their instinct is to eat and reproduce. Survival rates were much different before feeders. Babies died from malnourishment regularly due to limits imposed by food supply only capable of supporting the strongest survivors who’d work non-stop to feed their baby. I bet you we done see Skullhead and Lowina 20+ year old leaders after this group is replaced. Monkeys in that population are hazy as hell after 2-years. They work hardest when attacking a passerby for their PB&J. Otherwise they sit around picking on low-borns that likely wouldn’t exist in the WBF (World Before Feeders). We cry and get mad when a baby like Tiy (right?) starves, but it happens so rarely we want to “solve” an abnormally rare occurrence. Boy we’d really be upset at normal survival rates. I’ve learned the basis of these opinions from AM. He recently decided to all-but eliminate “hampers” believing it subjects them to potential harmful consequences. Does that not apply to the feeder system where even the blue-bloods fight over the amount of goodies “they are entitled to”?

@@jcgraham8808 I think you are right. But it was the feeder driving by throwing food out of the window I was concerned about not the feeders who knows the monkeys and comes on a dayly basis. Yes I know that people from the US are very special 🙂 I have seen how they react in Cambodia. Sending lots of money if a monkey is hurt and wanting the VOs to do something (medicine etc.). I am just and old woman from Denmark and I just enjoys and loves to follow AM on his way up Monkey Hill. I think Tiy died because Tina is not able to make the food she eats to milk. Have a nice day.

@@jessijohnsen1997 Your English grammar is great! Are you an ex-pat living in Denmark? I hope I didn’t appear aggressive, or argumentative. I often play through contrasting arguments to shake loose compelling observations from others. It’s a bad habit from HS debate. I firmly support AM and his affection for the monkeys. I find them irresistible since first seeing a sweet newborn clinging to its mothers belly hours after birth. They are fantastical creatures with so many individual traits. I work with people all day professionally and get so weary of the ‘human condition’. Watching them (most often) relaxes me and takes focus off business thoughts in the evening. I hope to hear from you in the future-it’s nice to have a friend in Denmark.

I wish my English was a lot better, but it is not so often I get the chance to write in English anymore as when I was working as a security inspector for the Danish CAA. (I don't often give comments ). By the way I'm glad that culling is not done in HK and I wish that other countries would make the same kind of birthcontrol even if it gives problems too. Yup, a resounding no to Dimpy asking Hatty to babysit. Haggy’s daughters are known to just take without asking and you can tell by both Dimpy’s and Hatty’s body language that there isn’t a mutual understanding between them.

I thought the same thing Charles! Slashy seemed to be stalking Nataly and then getting right up close to her as if she were just waiting for a chance to grab that cute little baby Huey. But Nataly seems very aware of this and very protective of her baby. Nice to have confirmation you saw the same thing I did and it wasn't just my imagination!

I try to remember that the babies that do survive Nora are fighters. Her offspring are definitely a wonderful addition to the gene pool. So, there is that. I have a hard time watching Nora and often skip the Nora torture baby scenes.
