It makes me so nervous watching those females in the trees grabbing at Bambi and Breeze. I was literally holding my breath, afraid one of them would fall.😱 I can surely see how some babies could meet their demise in the trees.🌳 Two things in my prayer for Teeney, she will find a mate come mating season, she will have a baby and not be cursed with the same lactating issue her mother has. 🙏 Wow, Desirey is the most resourceful yearling when it comes to foraging that I have ever seen!😂❤ I’m glad Deenly gave up her thumb sucking but I still think it would be funny as heck to see her holding a baby and sucking her thumb. 👍 😅 I think Desirey really cares for her baby sister, she’s very patient with her. It’s precious watching them together.🥰

Next season, it’ll start the drama over again. Tina starving a baby with poor nutrition, Teeny looking for every opportunity to snatch it without being bright enough to connect baby/teat as a duo. Floffi lost a couple to big stupid Dy. Maybe none of them understand they aren’t the only one needing food?

Question: babies are playing in the trees with each other, moms are hanging around having a bit of a coffee klatch together, one mom wanders off for a bit of me time. Now, something scary happens, a dog, a boar, a person, a fight, etc. and all the babies scamper to mom. But…one baby’s mom is not near, will an adult hold on to the alone baby to protect it? Or does it just have to hope it’s safe?

The adults will definitely look after a baby in that situation. The old females with no babies, or the younger ones not yet moms, even the males will protect a baby who is separated from its family. They really are one big family!

Pam Remember when the male from another troop took Teeny to Tina and the troop when she got left behind? He put an arm around her and took her to the troop. Older monkeys do take care of the babies.

Twins survived one of the most challenging births and will probably catch up to the twin. Glad it’s a happy story and not the normal death. Mom is great. Dol is the cutest baby that is under normal size. 😊 Rosa is still the noisiest monkey alive.

Reddy is so proud of her kids, always seriously grooming them. Desirey is wonderfully animated, always busy foraging and always active, she is the most human-like to me with her funny expressions. She watches mum like a hawk to see she's not in trouble for playing with her baby sister (whose name I can't even begin to pronounce Mr. AM). 😊 Great to see our gang looking so healthy overall.

I would say that Breeze is Emily's birth child. Bambi is adopted. Bambi could have been abandoned like Charlotte. That would make more sense than a dead mother.

Smitty's foot must still have an active blood supply, or that foot would've surely shriveled up and turned black by now. (I wrote this before A.M. showed the close-ups. Ugh, that looks soo painfu!) On a different note, the little ones are almost all looking dirtier than usual this year. Their moms usually keep them all looking clean and well groomed, but this year's batch of babies are getting down and dirty in the mud.
