Great video. A very short story about eternal love turning the 'haunted' into nicely 'haunting'.

It's ok if all the stories aren't scary. Although that does seem to be what you enjoy reading.

It's funny, I really love old-school gothic horror in the summertime. Not sure why... maybe it's the thunderstorms!

Since you seem to accept the role of teacher, I'd like to ask why this is a story and not a poem. I sort of heard it as a poem.

Oh, for sure! In this era (1910-1930ish), there was a bit of groundswell in both prose and poetry as to what each one of those "meant," the deconstruction of language as a whole, and from there the boundaries of what was produced was similarly stretched. We started seeing a lot more image-specific poetry (eg William Carlos Williams) but also prose got WILD (Joyce's Ulysses, 1920). So, it's kind of poetry-ish, but also prose-ish, because at this point the boundaries between the two were intentionally kind of murky.

@@annabellreads that makes sense, it is sort of consciously modern. The repetition is poemish. Not a word, I'm sure. I'll listen to more poetry, honest, but everyone is reading spook stories this month!
