Oh, my goodness, Carin! This is like...idk! As I'm watching I'm thinking it's like stumbling upon a witch's house in the woods (and I mean that in all the best ways!). Mesmerizing with that little tingle of spooky (not scary!). If I were touring your house in person, I would be the first in and last to leave as there are so many small details everywhere. Thank you so much!! I didn’t film the making since I worked on it in the evenings when I was hanging out with my family. The base of the house is all cardboard, held together with hot glue. I used popsicle sticks, dried beans, plexiglass (left over from another project), puff paint, and various craft supplies that I had on hand for all the details. The whole thing was spray painted in a semi-gloss black spray paint. I cut doors on the backside so that I could put in battery operated candles. My favorite detail is definitely the puff paint on the windows!! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! 🖤

Hello sweet friend! You look gorgeous, love your hair! I remember that Disney film also, watched it many times! I don't do Halloween really, I'll sprinkle a little fall decor around my home. We have A fall festval at church where they have food games & lots of candy for the kids. Everyone dresses up, just nothing spooky. But that's me personally. I still like to see how others decorate! And I know yours is done very tastefully! The living room looks really good, love the spider webbing! You're so crafty! The hat is cool & the haunted house is so good!! Just A little tip: if you ever decide you want your pumpkins less bright, not so orange or whatever, you can use antiquing wax on them! Just rub it on & rub it in/off and they look a little more moody, great for halloween decor. You can use it on real ones or any material.. wood, plastic, ceramic, anything! The bats are cool, & the mantle looks really good. I love the jack o lanterns hanging from the overhead ladder fixture, great touch! The dining room looks great! I like how you've left your everyday pieces, like the blue & white transferware in place! The kitchen looks really good too! I think its all been done so tastefully, and not overkill. Your vibe here reminds me of the "Meeker Home" on YT... very Classic Halloween,... if there is such a thing! It like it!, and you have done a great job; I don't decorate for H.Ween...but I decorate for Fall... I see that a lot of content creators are mentioning the 'disclaimer' prior to their videos regarding content of the video... I don't think it is necessary... You make the videos that you would like to make... and we can decide if we want to Pass or Watch...Halloween House: "Linda Smith Davis" made a black house too.. she bought a Christmas Village House (Lemax or other) for a few bucks at a Thrift Store...then spray painted in black...then went back in with a few embellishments and lit the inside with orange/purple mini lights!

The eye ball too! She has such an elegant and whimsical way of decorating….and I couldn’t love it more!! You are absolutely right. Our church had a fall festival around Halloween and we dressed up in costumes, we even had a “spook house” that the older kids got to put together. It was just wholesome fun. We don't celebrate Halloween anymore. The kids and grandkids are all grown now. We do hand out candy to the trick or treaters, though. There are people who don't celebrate Halloween for religious reasons, and we should all respect that, just as we would those who don't celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah.
