Coming from me as a dentist (of course go with your own dentist I’m sure you trust them, not trying to interfere in your treatment) - but I just need to say don’t expect the click in your jaw joints to disappear, it usually doesn’t change at all with braces. What causes that anyway? Is there a name for it?
@deamasnov19123 жыл бұрын
@@GoodandDelicious it's actually because of the problem in the temporomandibular joint, the joint that connects the upper and lower jaw. There isn't any particular solution for this condition but the alignment of the bite should help a bit and also prevent it to get worse over time.

I got Invisalign right at the beginning of the pandemic & realized it was THE BEST TIME to do it because we're all staying at home (it'll help make you more diligent about keeping those trays on your mouth all day), not going out to eat (not having to bring gross tray holder in your purse, toothbrush & toothpaste & excusing yourself to bathroom to put them in & out), no public events, and wearing a mask in public! The lisp subsides after a week or so, each new tray will make your teeth sore a day or two, and all of a sudden the end of 6 months will be here before you know it and VIOLA! Beautiful teeth! You'll be so happy with your results. I was ecstatic.

@lb54613 жыл бұрын
The first week of Invisalign is the absolute worst, so don’t worry. My advice to you is wear them for the minimum 22 hours, as hard as that is to do, your results are a direct reflection of your commitment. Nearing my final trays I started slacking off with wearing them and when I went to my final appointment they told me I should get one more set (of 16!!) because there wasn’t enough progression made 😭 nothing worse than thinking you’re at the finish line when you’re really at the halfway mark, hahah. Overall, 1000% worth it, you just have to really be diligent with wearing them!

I just finished Invisalign! My treatment was delayed for 6 months total through the process because of COVID... so happy to finally have those stupid attachments off! I was only to change trays once a week so to be perfectly honestly I did not wear them 22 hours a day and it was no big deal. If you change them more often you should be stricter. I talked to people who always would just go ahead and drink anything with them in (I didn’t do that) - especially with Covid who cares if the tray yellows a bit since your changing it often anyways. It’s fun 🤪 good luck!

Word of caution on Invisalign definitely consult with an Orthodontist. I think they are an excellent option for some tooth corrections but they do have serious limitations with regard to certain bite corrections and in some cases can actually make a bite problem worse. Such was the case for me, I had an overbite and went into Invisalign with my dentist. Results looked beautiful but my bite became a living nightmare TMJ grew mind numbing and the only fix? Traditional braces (I’m in acrylic). Met with 5 orthodontist in my city many adult clients are Invisalign failures. Having had both now which was more comfortable? Traditional hands down.

You will have to wear the final retainer forever at night when you sleep. Your teeth will shift forever. You might notice more tightness when you pop in the retainer at night if your have heavily chewed gum that day. But it will def help fix your bite, jaw issues and you'll notice that you'll have less headaches and tension overall. Just make sure to wear your retainer nightly!!!

Ahhh, I hate to hear that you mention that Everlane is a sustainable company. Because they are not a true sustainable brand!! They are a company that green washes and does not have proof from third party certifications showcasing they are a sustainable brand. I have just been educating myself on this brand most recently because I came across an ad from Everlane and thought their whole radically transparent slogan was cool, though when I took a further deep into learning about them I was shown countless videos from other knowledge people on ze KZbin, that rate sustainable brands and have passions for sustainable clothes and products, and unfortunately Everlane is not one of them! I really hope you watch a video on Everlane as other people can give way better info on the flaws Everlane has calling themselves a sustainable brand. Much love though, as Everlane does have cute minimal pieces! But please please don’t promote Everlane as a true sustainable brand😪 One of my first videos that introduced me to the term green washing is “Is Everlane really ethical?” By Levi Hildebrand

Estée Lalonde has been promoting the white strips from spotlight oral care and they are supposed to be okay for sensitive teeth. Just a suggestion? I can’t say for sure as I haven’t tried them, but she said that they worked for her.
