If you treat the collard greens like the kale and sell bunches instead of the top cut it will continue growing through November. You can strip them down to just the top 4 or 5 leaves, and they'll flush the next bunch in about 2 to 3 weeks. They're faster than the kale at recovery.

For scaring deer away, when I was living in Michigan a couple years ago, I found one thing that scared the deer more than anything, was an electronic coyote caller. I've shot a 22 in the air, they would just stand there and look at me, I've yelled at them and while walking toward them, and they would just look at me until I got pretty close and then they would run about 50 yards and then stop and look at me. I turned on the coyote caller and it was white tails, hauling ass, as fast as they could go, until they made it to the woods 3/4 of a mile away. I guess it would depend on if you have a lot of coyotes there, but it scared the hell out of Michigan deer.

Collard Greens are an extremely healthy leafy veg. that takes a little bit of effort in the preparation, but are loaded with a ton needed nutrients that are not widespread in a lot of other vegetables. Growing in demand due to their high nutrition.

What I use to keep deer and crows out of my patches I use aluminum pie pan u buy at the store I put a couple together and when the wind blows the move and hit each other and make noise I’ve done that for 2 years now seem to work for me so far

Deer are an introduced pest in Australia and they cause heaps of damage to the crop in my district. On Hamilton Island they were kept in an enclosed paddock and used for food in the restaurants, when the owner went bust instead of doing the right thing he just let them go on the island where they are destroying the vegetation.

Collards are great with a smoked turkey leg or Ham bone simmering with them. Little bit of red pepper and salt and black pepper. Little butter and summer savory. Let em go on low for 3-4 hours. Low and slow. Be careful letting the dogs run after deer. Some hunters don't care for that. You can tell the Game Protector you didn't see the buck and they jumped out of the truck. Hopefully, Sammy is going through the rotation awesome and not stressing out. Be well. Safe travels and God bless you all!

Oh Logan, collard greens are so so good cooked and simmered a long time with a ham hock and some onions. I'd buy some of yours if I was there. Great vid, TY from here in IL😊👍 BTW, that was a very BOLD buck deer in the field LOL

I just sent you a small package coming from Amazon. I thought you might be able to use these in your harvesting vegetables. I saw your mom using a stainless steel knife, which is fine but I've used these Fiskar's a lot and thought you could try them out. If you don't like them just sell them or give them away. Always open a valve before you close another old oilfield trick works for fire department as well but it keeps pressure from slamming into the valve and cause pressure to build when it is not need and can over pressurize the valves and lines causing them to burst and in the oil field that can be really dangerous

U cook them just ike but a little longer 1-2 hour with meat or without meat but peel them cause the stem is tough . Salt and pepper
