Lizzie, now that I know that you really appreciate this genre of music - There is a whole lot of Soul and R&B that is lesser known than the Motown hits that received all the airplay. Please check out the following songs and you will know why they call it SOUL. Gwen McRae - Lead Me On. Clarence Murray - Let's Get On With It. Hamilton Movement - She's Gone. Ruby Johnson - Weak Spot. Rufus Thomas - Memphis Train. That's a good start to checking out lesser known music of this genre that's referred to as Northern Soul.
