Damn. Was a blast to play even after all these years! I hope we can get a successor some day in the future. These old games really show how Dice needs to get this series back on track.

Im heart broken, i miss battling w u guys... what was ur gamer tags? I was def underated newbie old head prodigy.. I was waxing top rated guys on there. Join teams getting worked and come back to.lead my team to insane victory!! I miss it so much..smh.. what can we do about this? Are there private servers we could run prvt matches off of? Is that even a possible thing? Run games off our own wireless network? Start a BF1943 community again.

my grandfather was a huge advocate of this game. when i was a little kid, i would go to his house to hang out as any grandchild would. he loved to play video games and always offered me the controller during his matches. my favorite class was always scout as i seemed to never get over the sniping mechanics of the game (and cutting down trees with my blade lol). i was just about 5 or 6 at the time, so i didn't understand it fully, but i sure do remember it. i bonded with him over this game and eventually went on to get my own xbox to continue playing with him. as the game died out and i got older, i moved on to other things like a pc and newer AAA titles. my grandfather recently passed away, and i was looking to play 1943 one last time. to see it now shut down is a real jab at the heart. what remains is memories...

Thought I was going to just watch the first five minutes of this video, then I ended up watching the whole thing. Awesome playthrough, man! Brings me back to summer vacation of 2011 when I would play this into the wee morning hours.👍🏻

I went through rough times when this was released and it is really got me through those times. I wish they would remake it and keep it simple and arcady. Getting old sucks lol. I agree that it feels like a job to play the current BF games.

you should try Easy Red 2 it's literally BF 1942 but with modern mechanics and more

7th gen first half was all about creating fun games, which can be played year after year. While the other half of 7th gen took the ladder towards milking your customers.

Hey dude, sorry for the delayed response! KZbin, for some reason, flagged your comment as spam. I think EA took the game off of storefronts a few weeks ago. So, unless you purchased it before that no one can buy the game now. Sadly there was never a physical release either.
